Delighted to have won a crucial penalty shoot-out against Dundee at Dens, thus earning us a seeded position, resulting in us drawing Dundee at Dens.

What a f**k up. [emoji23]

It's actually the third weekend in August that we play Thistle at home for the fourth time since February, not that it makes it any better. Horrible draw.

The United and Dundee draw highlights two things, even though it's the best tie in the round, it's ridiculous they can be drawn together again and also, what was the point of winning the penalties and getting the seeding? Hardly much of a reward for Ayr either. The seeds should get home advantage when you've played for it via four group matches.

The alternative is the top seeds get guaranteed home tie.

Don't know how some people would feel giving the BIG TEAMS even more advantages

It is hard to optimistic about this, when we'll end up getting the Old Firm in this draw. So I'm guessing Killie will get either Celtic at Parkhead or Rangers at Ibrox.

You don't need to seed the "big teams" unless they earn it.

Seed the group winners and the best runners up and give them home ties. The top 4 have gained an advantage by not playing in the group stages, so they should be unseeded.

So you get seeded then draw Celtic?

There were eight groups, mate. You can't seed the 8 winners AND the best runners-up.

So, seed 12 teams out of 16? [emoji12]

But then you are punishing the seeds who end up facing the best teams. Necessary evil to seed Celtic etc...

You clearly seed 0 of the best runners-up. It's not hard.

At least you would get them at home. Someone has to draw them.

The seeds weren't all drawn at home though - they alternated seeds and non-seeds first out of the bowl.
