What's the most "Tin Pot" thing you've seen in the SPFL

Reminded of this today. With hindsight, it was probably the colour that bothered The Rangers most.

It was clever. Managers don't like it when clever things are done by other teams. Like hearts not cutting the pitch or Hamilton watering their milk tray pitch.

Surely Aberdeen's greatest contribution to tinpottery was the toaster?

both much better examples of tin-pottery than failing with a motivational ploy.

However, i for one applaud the frugality these stories show.

Just to be clear, it was the bright green paint that was the tinpot part. Narrowing the pitch was just a smart move.

Not sure if it qualifies as 'Tinpot' but Hearts vs Aberdeen just before the split in 2016 (http://www.londonhearts.com/scores/games/201604081.html), Derek McInnes sent his players out early in the half time break to warm up in front of the away end and get 'pumped up' before the start of the second half, the game was evenly poised at the time. Hearts scored early in the second half and won the game 2-1.

Your writing style is appalling.  I had to read this a couple of times before finally realising how underwhelming a suggestion it was.

Did they moan about that?

The club formerly known as Rangers did precisely the same thing before a European Cup tie against Dynamo Kyiv, though in that case it was even worse because they did it after Dynamo Kyiv had trained on it!

SPFL missed a trick there by not having their sign sponsored by Golf Sale..

I've seen a lot worse, tbqh.

Actually, I'm surprised that didn't start a trend...

I didn't know you could train drills, but that would indeed be an odd thing to do at half time.

Not if the pitch resembles a tattie field...

New to P&B and so laughed through this thread this evening. Nothing beats the Conor Salmon pizza but would have thought the Hearts “Josef Fritzl” hospitality lounge would have got a few votes. On non match days the seats behind the Gorgie road end lift up to allow supporters of Scotland’s 3rd biggest club to peek out at freedom.  Unfortunately no pics....
