Aye, decent player but he'd be wasted at Rangers as he'd get nowhere near the team. Not saying that as a dig but just the reality.

I believe he’ll see out how year here which he is happy to do and move down south. The same as what Nicky Devlin done and all Ayr fans will be happy with that scenario.
rb123!
I know it's the mickey mouse cup we're out of but as far as i can tell we'd have been away to New Saints if we'd got through, that makes things slightly more disappointing.

It's only half an hour longer by car to Oswestry than it is to Elgin!

Assuming the draw numbers were done alphabetically it’s not as simple as saying we would have gotten whoever Queen’s Park did. The whole draw might have been different if Ayr went through.

honestly united
I for one am gutted that we are missing out on playing the New Saints, as its the least travelling I could do for a game - completely inconsiderate of McCall not to put the best team out vs QP, and Doohan should be dropped for not saving at least 3 penalties. *I do completely understand that this cup is a completly diddy affair and couldn't care less about winning it ** And that the draw would have been different if Ayr had been in it rather than QP

Finlay21
Draw numbers are done alphabeticaly so the whole draw would have been potentially totally different

Superhursty7
Thoughts on Alan Forrests best position?, I think he has done well so far this season and I'm glad to see he's bulking up/filling out but I just don't see him as a winger I don't think he has the pace for it, his best position going forward to me is the number 10 role that Moffat is doing so well just now, with us now having a attacking right back in Smith I can see him on the bench more often and Geggan moving into the right midfield role

Can't take a decent corner either.
Hursty
I think having either Forrest or Crawford on the left would help get the best out of Harvie as they move inside and open up the space. Could be the same on the other side for Smith but Forrest or Geggan in that instance. Seemed quite a few occasions on Tuesday night where full backs were looking to overlap but either McGuffie or McDaid were taking up the space and the move broke down. Especially down the left in the first half. Edited August 17, 2018 by Hursty
Honest_Ally
Agreed he's far better as a number 10 or even on the left coming inside. Shankland and Moore as a partnership doesn't work, it needs to be Shankland or Moore with Moffat or Forrest in behind. That still leaves Crawford, Geggan, McDaid and McGuffie to play wide now we have Smith.

Agree with having in essence to wing backs in Harvie and Smith the two wide midfielders need to be smart and track back/move inside when necessary, McDaid and Forrest are more likely to go in the same positions as the full backs
itzdrk
Is this us back to shoehorning Geggan into the team?
