However potentially McKenzie in midfield again?

Presumably McHugh can’t play 90 and they want him on at the end?

Maybe but Paul smith is right there on the bench but I guess it’s clear Brown doesn’t rate him

Hopefully it’s Bryden in the 10 role and Chalmers and Amartey out wide

Five up front, bypass the midfield

No it isn’t.

It’s literally the opposite of a Hopkin team, I would suggest.

Pretty happy with it, given the circumstances. I can understand why McKenzie would play in there over Smith, against Morton and assuming McHugh is struggling.

Aye Smith has been bullied every time he’s played this season. McKenzie won’t be much better in there but at least he’ll bring a bit more dig.

My only complaint is Sanders over McCallister.

Given the physicality Morton have, I can understand that too tbf.

On initial look it's frightening with the 4 CBs on the park, McKenzie and Bryden. But with the squad as it is, i'm very meh on that.

Praying that Chalmers and Amartey have a good night.

Brown and Whittaker have probably played at a higher level than any other manager in your league. Brown in particular was recognised as a very good captain and leader- always thought he was smart.

Reading the thread Ayr seem to have a bare bones of a squad- the conditions apparently are poor and you have lost every game this year to Morton. Maybe Brown has thought been bullied in the past , youngsters will be even more bullied- this is a night for a battle and has put a team to do that?Morton do like a battle..

no idea- if he wins he will be a genius- if he loses an a-se- fitba eh…
