BukyOHare
An excellent signing for us. Just what we needed. Edited September 15, 2020 by BukyOHare

Will the board please stop safeguarding our playing assets and providing an excellent nucleus in the squad with which to plan the clubs future both on and off the pitch? Thank you. ayrunitedfw
? Jordan Houston Steven Bell Jack Baird Patrick Reading Andy Murdoch Joe Chalmers Dario Zantta Luke McCowan Tom Walsh ? Subs: Hare-Reid, Muirhead, Roscoe, Kerr, Miller, Moffat, Moore That’s probably our best team at the moment. Arguably you could make a case for any of our 4 centre backs starting. We obviously need a GK and Striker and if were being really greedy back up at Attacking or wide midfield wouldn’t go amiss.
Hazbart
Biggest concern with the squad (other than the GK & Striker) is that if any of the 3 attacking midfielders get injured we have nobody who’s capable of replacing them. There would be a real lack of pace and creativity in there. We could do with a utility man who can play on either wing or through the middle.

Chalmers has played LW and also RW for us in the past although it's worth remembering that he, like Wlash, has had a fair few injury problems in the last year so you may need cover for him as well. Starting XI looks good though. Edited September 15, 2020 by RiG

Walsh zanatta and mccowan can all interchange and play different positions, plus we have moff who can play there too I think the only positions we need are a striker and a keeper

If Kerr thought he was worth it and the budget allowed it after a keeper and striker, what about a punt on Calvin Miller? Plays anywhere up the left and anywhere across the front line. BukyOHare
He's undoubtedly a talent but this is a huge season for Luke McCowan's career with us. I personally think it's a huge ask to have him as a regular starter at this stage. Hopefully he comes back stronger and wiser with a hunger and desire that got him into the team in the first place. He won't be the first youngster who's had a dip early on in their career, its upto him how he progresses. If he does then the sky's the limit for him. I'd also include Roscoe in that category as well. Bell won't be around forever and there's definitely opportunities for him. Both, if they fulfilled their potential, could be regular starters for us in the years ahead and hopefully go onto a much higher level.

Chubbychops
Was kind of looking to get ahead of Ayr this season after seeing the players you lost, but looks like it's not going to be easy. Some decent replacements.

I think he may have had the attitude of a player coming down from Celtic on loan that he may have been above us. However being released and not having a club may have a humbling effect on him. Kerr shared a dressing room with him so he’d be well placed to make that decision.

I think Calvin Miller is now in the "squad player" at best category and we've actually got lots of cover in those areas now, with Reading, Mike Miller, Chalmers all capable of playing anywhere on the left, I also felt he flattered to deceive when here before and I really think we've moved on since then and have other areas that need strengthened and covered way before his.
D'Jaffo
Kerr played with Miller so id be happy for him to judge whether or not he’d be a decent signing or not. I think it’s important the next signings are our goalkeeper and first choice striker. Once that’s done we can look at bulking up the team with a squad player or two.

Think he's having a few different trials down south and is keen to get away from Scottish football

Barjonas was mentioned at the weekend again saying that "Ayr were tracking him and keen for him to sign" however the article also mentioned that some yankee team was trying to get him and another couple of Rangers youth players.
