You create your own luck in football.

Everton goalie chucks the ball into his own net for no discernible reason, Tottenham score injury time own goal, win at Newcastle as a result of late free-kick from a disgraceful dive = "you make your own luck".

I’ll give you the Everton one total fluke the game had gone although Origi did very well to pounce. The other 2 were pushing like made and Ritchie was booting players all night.

Remember Man United used to get lucky every week ? ... :D

More often than not United were winning the title though.

To much getting read into the "7-point lead" IMO, City had a game in hand at that point so it was effectively a 4-point lead, they still had to play City and in their run of form it was then only a 1-point lead!!!
That really does nail it down to the Everton game though!!!

Oh absolutely. How many late goals did they score, comebacks etc. It wasn’t luck they found ways to win games and trophies.

Wasn’t it ten points with City’s game in hand?

Totally agree. Man City fell 7 points behind then must have taken 57 out of 60 possible points ? No one could live with that.

Liverpool didn’t do enough to win at Goodison but it wasn’t a bad point.

Yes. City brought it back to 4 points behind then went on to lose a game and Liverpool failed to take advantage.

Their bottle went and never recovered until after City had taken the lead in the title race

 ... spoke to a few Wolves fans yesterday after the game and they were pretty embarrassed at the behaviour of a sizeable part of their support. Needless to say they were the ones at the lower end of the IQ scale.

A few things, Rab.

1. As you know, I don't support Tottenham.

2. It's 26 points.

3. Tottenham's bottle is exactly the same as Liverpool. They've won f**k all either.
