Sarwar is more of a colossal, boot-licking fud than Douglas Ross is.

There you go.

The SNP now have an open goal when attacking Labour on the issue of Brexit.  Let’s hope they score loads.

An absolute disgrace. The modern Labour party want to be changing their name. Every bit as entitled and despotic as their blue counterparts.

Who are the SNP to claim the next UK election is to be fought on a single issue?

The next election won't be fought on independence it will be fought on this, erm other single issue we want it to be about.

Clowns

This took *looks at watch* three days to become out of date. Now what?

Banterwise, a shame. But this always was a nonsense and a pretty terrifying disgrace that a concerted media campaign could force a police force into this.

Yeah, especially considering that the exact same force did precisely bugger all about Cummings' clear breach of lockdown rules.

Never believed for minute he was getting a FPN. It was blatantly an orchestrated publicity stunt and in the short term it will pay-off for sure.

Would have been hella funny though if he and Rayner had to resign as well. Ironically, it could have been the best thing to happen for Labour as Starmer is just another Red multimillionaire Tory.

Combined with the Mets clearly negotiated non, delayed and suspiciously conveniently timed actual interventions, and then non investigations of certain events its a joke. But then so is the UK.

The problem is then who follows on as next leader. Best thing that ever happened to the Tories was Tony Blair. He killed off a major part of the socialist element and shifted Labour to the right. The socialists who are left are surrounded by careerists with Oxbridge upbringings and will never garner the support they need. The 2nd Indy ref is a real opportunity for the Scottish branch to reinvent themselves and maybe win back some support, however it will no doubt be a similar uninspiring SNP bad / Too wee argument rather than a here is our vision for Scotland.

Lets face it, if Indy goes through the SNP are then at a crossroads as well.

Multimillionaire, sends-his-kids-to-private-school Sarwar has already demonstrated time after time that he will put his own and the UK/English Labour Party's interests before the people of Scotland. "Scottish" Labour's sole purpose these days is to anchor Scotland down and pontificate about how we're never capable of running our own affairs, and is also a platform for careerists to follow in the footsteps of Jack McConnell, George Foulkes, Ruth Davidson etc. That's it.

However do I believe there are a few within the Scottish Labour ranks who know deep down that Anas Sarwar is being entirely unreasonable. The question is whether they will have the guts to stand up and be heard?

As for the SNP, post-independence of course they will eventually disband. That's not necessarily a bad thing.

The Labour Party needs to look in the mirror with this one.  Johnson had to quit because too many of his own people would no longer back him  No matter what his mandate, agenda or intention was - it was time for him to go because he would not be able to do it without them.

Same thing would be true for the Labour Party.  If Jeremy Corbyn had been elected prime minister, he might have had the most wonderful, radical, socialist agenda but if his own people did something similar he would have had to quit as well.

You can say the Labour Party does not have enough radicals or socialists and that may well be true.  However it is not a question of where you are on the political spectrum or what you want to do.  Without the serious support from your own side - none of it is going to happen.
