Cerberus
Guardiola didn't even try and replace Kompany in the summer. He plays a midfielder in defence cause Otamendi is shite.

Yes they have only really lost Allison so far for a part of the season.
DigOutYourSoul
An actual explanation from an actual referee.
JamieStevenson
That clip of Pep absolutely losing it at the handball..... Inject it into my veins right now.
Jambomo
So is the rule deliberate handball or not? I mean in reference to that one just there, not earlier.
Cerberus
CIty should have 3 penalties. Utterly shameful.
eez-eh
Why on earth would anyone want to see the “VAR lines” for Liverpool’s second goal? If he’s offside - which I don’t think he even is - it’s by no more than a centimetre. The technology is in absolutely no way advanced enough to conclusively judge on calls that tight - anyone wanting things like that retrospectively ruled out 2 minutes later can f**k off.

Clearly the rule is if your called Trent you are allowed to handle the ball.

VAR isn’t exactly being applied consistently.

By all means complain about that and the lack of consistency with VAR - but anyone who wants that goal ruled out is at it.

You shouldn't be picking and choosing whether you are judging it by the absolute letter or the law, or giving benefit of the doubt. And given that this season, the common sense approach seems to have left the building, it should be getting applied across the board.
J_Stewart
When the most naturally defensive player in your back four is John Stones - John fucking Stones - you know you’re going to be in big trouble...and so it’s proved.

Liverpool seem to be getting some very fortunate VAR decisions in the season so far.

Has there actually been a conclusive angle showing it’s offside? VAR’s shite but I’d at least rather they applied common sense some of the time than not at all.
