The penalty was a penalty, given the state of the laws and the endless precedents set this season. The laws are a disgrace though; borne of a bizarre obsession to obtain the unobtainable in complete consistency. I'd rather see thousands of crosses accidentally slap off hands and arms than full-backs defending, as will happen, off-balance with an awkward body shape and an incredible susceptibility to being beaten.

Yes, that's about right.

Possession stats tell you enough and a good proportion of that's been our defence acting indecisively or our midfield not retaining the ball.

Unless we can bring on a big unit upfront can't see a comeback.

Incidentally no way stadium 1/4-full nevermind suggestion it's 1/2-full.

We're on a bit of a hiding to nothing in that England have players all over the pitch who are much quicker, which is immensely frustrating because there's not a great deal between the two sides technically.

I'd have said England are miles in front in both regards.

That offside took forever
Why the f**k did the lineswoman wait so long to put up her flag
That's the rule now, wait and see if a goal is scored so that you don't make a call that them prevents a good goal.

Frustrating, but that's the directive.

Quite busy actually, but managed a glance at the news over the last 24 hours. Bad luck really, the Angel of Death went to the wrong place, should've been The Duke of Edinburgh.

Really really annoying if the ref and assistant are in agreement just call the offside as it happens. Is this the rule for non VAR games when a review is not available?
