le smudge
I would like to think the board would be looking at a similar appointment to Kirk and Simmy. Contacts in the Dundee and surrounding leagues to snap up some gems kicking about that would strengthen the squad. Whilst Price and Weir would be an obvious option I am not sure that would be a like for like management team and no trophies in their spell at Elgin….. yes kept them in the league and a few play offs but not out of the league Rumour mill for the early front runners, Maurice Ross, Gav Price, Phil McGuire and Kevin McNaughton

Chubby pompano
Liam Craig would be a good appointment. Think he would get the best out of the Brechin squad.

Did a great job with under 18 squad at St Johnstone, recently retired pro who played at top level and has a good understanding of Scottish players and game. Given the team spirit that we have I believe he would help the lads push on.

Even if he gets you the title, he's the last manager you want in the playoffs.
welshbairn
Jamie Watt and Roy McBain did a fine job at Banks o Dee until they were sacked after the points deduction they had nothing to do with, and I think they're both free at the mo.
Rossco8326
Guessing it will be simmy incharge for the game on Saturday. Hopefully when a new manager comes in he is kept on would be abit unfair for him to be pushed out because kirk chose to move on

Rossco8326
Should just use the compo money and go get mckinnon from forfar. Yeah they are not doing great just now but he's a good manager with experience and his style of play is not much different to kirk maybe abit more attacking if any thing and he loves the glebe Edited November 7, 2023 by Rossco8326
le smudge
I have no doubt Ray is a good manager but let’s be honest he’s not setting the Heather on fire at Forfar with 1 win this season in the league and a bit or unrest in the changing rooms. Not sure he would fancy the travel. The club is not exactly cash rich so it needs to be the right fit. Another younger manager who has the desire to get the best out of the squad and be resilient in defending the title would be my pick.
Ivo den Bieman
Maurice Ross wouild be a deranged shout- he was terrible at Cowdenbeath. The Price / Weir combo a better bet for me.

MonTheHedge
I actually have a lot of sympathy for Dods, the results in the championship were woeful but green shoots were showing when he was bagged. As much as I like the guy I wish him best and hope he continues at Cumbernauld
1993
Gavin Price had run his race at Elgin but the slide was mainly down to difficulty in recruitment for various reasons. He was one of our most successful managers and assistant with Jim Weir. He was well liked by all at the club. He has experience, knowledge of the HL scene as well as Tayside, Angus etc. He will also bring finance to the club. There are obviously loads of different candidates but I think it would be very short sighted of Brechin to dismiss him as a candidate, if he is, just on his last season at Elgin.
