Can't tell if that piece is supposed to be sympathetic or critical but I laughed a lot.

It can only be sympathetic. Who can't feel despair at the the horror of having to walk through a private office to get to your private garden, having already had to pay for food and the upkeep of two thirds of your children on a meagre £150K salary?

This is funny because The Times are sincerely trying to be sympathetic with those points.

Its times like this I fall back to my 1% principle. This is where I hope beyond hope that any Tory can suffer just 1% of the misery they are responsible for inflicting, since this would be enough to destroy them.

Why would anyone be surprised that BoJo turned out to be a useless, feckless, cannae-hack-it gimp? An over inflated ego, entitled, born to rule, public school waste of space. His cabinet of  goons reflects all these horrendous characteristics too. A fucking gang.

Scotland needs away from these p***ks pronto.

It’s absolutely brilliant watching this Tory government f**king everything up at the moment. That’s what Boris gets for filling his cabinet with rabid Leavers rather than people who can actually manage their portfolio!.

I’ve seen some of the right wing rags have started to turn on him. The next few months could be interesting!

Nobody thinking that the Boris and the Tories just don't give a flying f**k how they look at the moment? They've got another three years before they need to even remotely consider how they look. They're cynical (and realistic) enough to know that a few tax cuts for their base and all will be forgiven in 2024.

Amazed Boris doesn't rock up to the Commons in his PJs and read the paper. Rees-Mogg has already done his equivalent of it. They're not even remotely stressed by anything that's happening.

And why would they be? I cannot stress enough how this is just an extension of their school days, as has been everything else in their adult lives. They simply do not care and have no reason to. Politics is another game and “the people” are just a mass of thick, undifferentiated inferiors. These are basically the modern equivalent of those medieval warlords and kings who passed the time playing toy soldiers with real people for a lark. Except, of course, the modern ones are even farther divorced from anything like their serfs’ lives.

More twitter rumours that bojo is going to chuck it before xmas

I think he'll be here for a bit longer, take the Brexit/Covid fallout before heading off to rake the post-PM dosh in claiming Brexit completed/Covid defeated.

The lengths he will go to in order to avoid delivering bad news is impressive. No wonder he's always posted missing in action. He clearly hates the job he's spent the last 15 years trying to get and it shows.

I don't recall Vallance and Whitty being elected, so quite why they're addressing us themselves is a mystery. Johnson can't even be arsed ordering Hancock to go along.

Dismal.

Johnson having another well earned day off today while hapless goons Whitty and Vallance are wheeled out to deliver some bad news.

Barely a week after his last mysterious disappearance.

"We were back on Boristime. Though not for long, as moments after he had finished speaking, Nicola Sturgeon made her own statement to the Scottish parliament. Where Boris had sounded somewhat rambling and, at times, contradictory in his statement, Nicola was a model of clarity and precision. She has a clear grasp of her priorities and sticks to them. She had listened to the advice of Whitty and Vallance and concluded it was necessary to go a lot further than England. In Scotland the “rule of six” was a goner, and there would be no unnecessary socialising between families indoors for the foreseeable future."
