Get yourself to f**k. I still wake up screaming sometimes with nightmares where I turn up to Tynecastle and see this lad between the sticks again. Essentially relegated us by himself.

Busta Nut
That's hilarious. I know Trevor Carson was an injury worry when he left us but why did Utd let him go/not play him?

Reading between the lines I think he left us to sign for them on the promise that they were selling Siegrist but for whatever reason they didn't sell him and Trev ended up parked on the bench - in exactly the same position he was with us while Gillespie was here. He got his loan move to Morecambe and I get the impression that it was him asking for the transfer rather than United binning him.

TheScarf
Mon to fuck, those two were shite but this Aussie no mark is clearly worse.
dezz
Pereira and the guy that was between the sticks for Killie when they went down (Doyle was it?) were both abysmal, but Birighitti is the worst of the bunch for me. It's the range of howler's he had that are impressive, there's a bit of everything in there - shite decision making, bullied at set pieces, lettuce wrist shot stopping, shite footwork meaning shots right at him seem to go in, getting clattered by Stevie May. He's got it all.

(The Samson variant where you meekly palm the ball straight out to a striker was responsible for turning me into a seething mess plenty of times).

He really was an amazing thing to watch. I mind when he went to Hudderfield seeing all the Huddersfield fans on Twitter excited to have a Man Utd keeper and claiming Hearts fans warning them about him were daft Jocks who supported a tinpot club in a tinpot league. Within a month it had changed to "We should have listened to the Hearts fans". Amazing he is paid to be a goalkeeper.

Steve McQueen
Is the issue with Dundee Utd not that they were close to signing Zander Clark until his agent asked for more money. That agent being Jackie McNamara.
'WellDel
I think we've all witnessed utter dross between the sticks for our clubs. Most recently for us, as a top flight goalkeeping performance, Aaron Chapman for Motherwell in a 3-0 loss to Accies a couple of years ago was one for the ages. True hilarity if our predicament wasn't so grim at the time.

The goal he conceded against Motherwell is as bad, if not worse than anything Birrigitti has done this season.

I think all he's got left to tick off on his 'classic goalkeeper howler' bingo card for this season is conceding an own goal after taking a fresh swipe at a pass back, or kicking the ball off an opponent into the net. rowsdower
Aaron Chapman is 100% the worst of those mentioned so far. He had the aura of someone that had just been quantum leaped into and Al hadn't turned up yet. Every time he stopped the ball or picked it up (which wasnt very many times), he had a look of absolute surprise on his face. He was the goalie equivalent of those players that seem to get shorter when they go up for a header. He's about 6'7" and could only dive about 3 feet.
