Dunning1874
They’re not standing in any Tory held seats but are in all the rest. That’s the Tory majority confirmed.
welshbairn
Farage says they won't stand in any Tory held constituencies, but will in Labour and Lib Dem ones, didn't say how many or if they'll stand in Scotland.

I think most people were expecting this approach at the outset. All Farage done initially was get his party a little extra coverage, before they done the obvious. It will be more interesting to see who they put up in Labour marginals and Labour leave constituencies, and if Boris reciprocates in any way.
Suspect Device
Odds shortening on Tories overall majority to 8/11. 1/12 to win most seats.

Tactical voting will see them take quite a few though, particularly where the Tories are distant 3rd/4th. I wouldn't expect their voters to be as aware and organised as Lib Dem/Labour/Plaid/ Remainer tactical voters. But combined with a position today of a 10-12% poll lead, I'd expect the odds on clear Tory majority to come tumbling down.

Would be nice if just one of them could either point to a government in the UK which had eradicated this type of problem or tell us all which magical button we could press to end it. It can be done simply Oaksoft. If people stop donating to foodbanks they will close. I'm not sure why anyone would think the closure of foodbanks would make society better but thats the absurdity of the grievance position.
Highland Capital
Not sure if it's been posted already, but I see the Scottish Greens have pulled out of Stephen Gethins' and Pete Wishart's seats.

Hi Malky, Can you provide evidence to back up your view that some people think the act of closing foodbanks would make society better? Thanks.

Corbyn's take on the situation in Bolivia will probably help that endeavour though. If ever there was a time for keeping his own counsel and concentrating on the job in hand this was it, but he just can't help himself.

There'll be announcement at some point that Brexit Party won't field candidates in all locations. (Tories will deny a pact and Farage will say he's happy with various promises from the PM). In return, it'll be Lord or Sir Nigel at the earliest opportunity. Farage: Huge change from Johnson Nigel Farage says he has been encouraged by Boris Johnson's commitment not to extend the transition period beyond the end of 2020 and to negotiate an enhanced free trade agreement based on the EU's agreement with Canada. He says this is a "huge change" and sounds more like the Brexit that he and others voted for. Not being in political alignment with the EU is a big step in the right direction. MONKMAN
Amazing news that will probably keep the Conservative seats in Scotland to double figures. If I remember correctly, you’re fairly young poster who bears a striking resemblance to Fred West with an oversized head. What is it that the Conservative party does to win your support?

Polls currently have Tories averaging at 22% in Scotland which is down from the 29% they got at GE2017. Polls also have Brexit Party at 6% in Scotland. If all those votes (Which a lot of them will) transfer to the Tories that puts them at 28% which is 1% down from the return at GE2017. It isn't unfathomable to see the Conservatives holding on to a lot of their seats. Edited November 11, 2019 by Im_Rodger
