Nicely warmed through and maybe even a dollop of double cream. However, Mrs SL has just shown me a recipe which adds coarsely grated Cheddar cheese and Parmesan to cider & apple mincemeat. That is truly an abomination. Cheese in a mince pie? I think not. I sincerely hope she never came up to you and said ‘Darling, I need more cheese in my pie’.

19QOS19
The ones from Iceland (yes, really) have got high praise in recent years so will be looking to see if they can stay on top form. Accompany with a glass of PX sherry for the full diabetic coma effect. I assume it's these ones and not the own brand? If so, I can confirm they are delicious and they are currently 2 boxes for £3.

19QOS19
Didn't know if it would work or if the filling would just burn. But it was extremely enjoyable.

BFTD
Picked up a few of these for work this week, as they were on offer and I've never had nuts on top of my pie (to my knowledge). Definitely on the above-average side of pastry-related seasonal treats. https://groceries.asda.com/product/mince-pies/asda-extra-special-luxury-nut-topped-mince-pies/1000146158332
