Jim McLean's Ghost
https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/celtic/var-in-scottish-football-sfa-green-lights-study-into-costs-and-benefits-as-clubs-are-asked-to-make-call-1-5065160 The SFA are commissioning a study into whether we should have VAR in the wake of Rangers being defeated in an Old Firm Final by an offside goal. Likely to cost clubs around £1m per season. Probably more imo with all the extra video set up required and the additional cost of referees across 80+ match days in the Premiership. For me it is a waste of money for a system that has been proven to not offer any more assurance of getting the big decisions correct.
gannonball
I would be up for this tbh but given that the compliance officers in the past have had a number of days/weeks to come up with an outcome and had absolutely no consistency I have no confidence in the fucknuggets who would be doing it.
Detournement
Scott Brown will need his own personal microphone to talk to the VAR ref.
bennett
Mistakes happen in fitba, always have and always will. You moan about bad decisions for a day or two then move on, not too keen on bringing in var.
Bohemian
The absolute meltdowns and heads gone when the VAR inevitably get it wrong.. glorious
GordonS
Until/unless they can put the replays on screens in the ground for everyone to see, and they speed up the decisions, it's a hard "hell no" from me. It's extremely bad for the experience of actually being at the game, and the last thing Scottish football needs is to piss off the paying fans.

parsforlife
VAR is a good thing at base level but it’s current implementation is terrible.Communication with fans needs massive improvement (and given its often difficult to hear team lines etc over ageing sound systems that’s doubtful) as does the speed(and number) of decisions. We really need to move to a review system.
WeeMentalDavie
Seems to work well on the continent but not always so well in England. I'm in favour of it so interesting to see the progress of this
Cptn Hooch
As mentioned above, clubs can't afford it plus the hopeless referees in Scotland coupled with the SPFL diddies couldn't be trusted to implement it correctly. We don't even have goal line technology...we shouldn't be talking about VAR.
TavTastic
Brutally implemented in the Englandshire leagues and we have even more incompetent officials here. If they can get it right then yes I'm on board but I have no confidence that they can.
Menga Bus
Goal line technology has to be implemented first, Scottish football is nowhere near ready for VAR

I don't have anything against VAR in principle, but, to me, football should be the same game regardless of whether it's the world cup final or a Sunday amateur league. VAR has taken this away, resulting in effectively a two-tier sport. To me, that's not what football should be about. All that would happen here is that a handful of clubs at most would have it and the rest wouldn't.
HibsFan
We should be trying our best to move away from the late capitalism nightmare that is the English Premier League. But the suits can't help but fall over themselves to try and replicate it. Disgustan.

AngusTheBull
I think we’ll need to start having more than two cameras at each game before even looking at VAR.

Imagine we have a VAR headquarters like England that allows Andrew Dallas to f**k every game simultaneously.
