Todd_is_God
Wee bit surprised by this. Estimates for R in Scotland have been below 1 (and fairly static) since the lockdown began.

Thereisalight..
A “jump” in cases today. NS will probably use that as justification for us moving more slowly than anyone else in Europe -
Todd_is_God
I find it absolutely staggering that, when confronted with the figure that GDP has dropped by 20%, NS's response is to appeal to WM for more money. Deaths following a positive Covid-19 test now form just 3% of expected daily deaths. How low does this figure need to fall before we accept that we need to get moving? The obvious solution is to allow businesses to open, and people to earn & spend money.
Steven W
NS suggesting that the treasury should be extending the furlough scheme. And points to a 2 year scheme they have in France. I think she'd quite happily see us all sit on our ever expanding fat arses for years to come. (Would save her having to make any decisions I suppose) Edited June 12, 2020 by Steven W

And if so, how come we never hear from him / her? Edit - There is. Fiona Hyslop. Speaks volumes I, and I'd bet many others, haven't heard of her. As opposed to the Tories and how they’ve handled it and Scottish Labour who are beyond hopeless? Nah you’re alright.
Billy Jean King
I’m not a horse racing fan by any means, but I thought it was starting back in Scotland (behind closed doors) from June 22nd? I haven’t heard any more about it being approved by the SG. Anyone know what’s happening? The BHA routinely scheduled fixtures at Scottish tracks from 22 June, didn't necessarily mean they were going to happen, requires SG approval.

Correct (again). I can't remember the last time I didn't vote SNP (couple of decades ago I'd guess). And despite all this, I'll probably do so at the next election. But I've still got enough about me to question what's going on here and not necessarily support the policies because of who they came from.
