Given that society has also now set its economy on fire for nearly a full year, to deal with a virus that is not dangerous to the overwhelming majority of working age adults and lower, 'we need to think about the old' is not exactly the effective rallying cry that you want it to be. Why are you telling me stuff about free education, right to buy etc as if it's news? I'm rejecting the analysis that says we can disregard the wellbeing of an entire chunk of society, be that based on race, gender, age or whatever. To justify that by pointing to prevalent voting behaviour is utterly immoral. Do you really need that pointed out?

I never thought I'd see the day I genuinely hoped the UK Government would step in and tell the Scottish Government to get a fucking grip about anything but with Swinney's absolutely batshit mental statement on never ending restrictions even after the population is fully vaccinated, here I am. Yep. Very disturbing, but very indicative of the times. 39 minutes ago, 101 said: excellent to see some proper problem solving going on, these will surely make vaccinating small rural communities far easier than building a hub for a day or 2. WhiteRoseKillie
Got to support American C&W stars who openly describe themselves as socialist. The modern day Woody Guthrie. He's some guy, and (as I never tire of telling people) so much more than country. Like the Rainmakers, he's got a sound influenced by his background, but speaks truth in his music. Guys like him, Willie Nelson, and Neil Young are more relevant today than ever.

In what way has this attitude ever been displayed in policy terms in the UK? As opposed to other sections of society whose issues, opportunities and vulnerabilities actually have been give the 'f**k you' treatment by the politicians and referendum decisions determined by the boomer generation no less. So spare me the crocodile tears act. The idea that we yet again need to wring our hands about the fairness of measures towards older generations is ridiculous. This entire pandemic response has already been orientated around their needs and lone behold it has been an objective disaster.
