I disagree.

If they had peacefully dispersed the smattering people right as they started to gather, they'd have also cut down on the majority of other folk coming in at the back of them.

Instead it became a situation where person A ends up outside Ibrox, phones person B, C, D and E and tells them the Police aren't doing anything to usher folk away so just get a carry oot and come on down. Many others see this on twitter, telly, radio etc and decide to join in. A swift nipping in the bud would almost certainly have prevented it getting to the levels it did.

Or they just go and form a group at Glasgow green or somewhere else. I dont think that group would have peacefully dispersed either.

Ooft, you're back to this version today. The 'I'm alright Jack, stiff upper lip, you're all snowflakes' uber-da.

Would they though? I mean it didn't seem that they were an organised group at the start....a bunch of celebrating supporters that gradually built up to become more and more.

I don't for a second think that if it got broken up when the numbers were in their dozens that any of them would have had the foresight to tell the rest of them 'lets go to Glasgow Green instead. Tell all your mates'

The truth is, that folk descended on Ibrox because it's Ibrox and the obvious place to start. So many folk ended up descending on the place because those who went first and tested the mood around the area weren't getting moved on, so it was basically a green light for others to show up in their hundreds.

Looking at the the hospital number data GG&C went from 163 yesterday to 196 today so an increase of 33.

Yeah, was a change in the way they are reporting numbers apparently.

Daily Update:   So a fortnight ago we got the published Roadmap.  Certainly worth looking at the 2 weeks change from when I published figures 2 Mondays ago in advance of the announcement.

This is fantastic movement virtually across the board.  The only negativity is way down the board where Aberdeen & Dundee from low levels are having small surges.

So what will ScotGov give away tomorrow.  They could never have anticipated what has happened in these 2 weeks.

Scotland peaked at 301.9 for figures 29th Dec to 4th Jan,    Cases that day were 16,496 and test rate was 11.9%

As a daily reminder yesterday cases 3,489, positivity 3.3%, Cases per 100K 63.9.

Up to date 7 days from 27th Feb to 5th March are Total Cases 3,427, Positivity 3.2%, Cases per 100K 62.7.  The reductions in 14 days are summarised as Cases down 39.62% and infectivity down 37.25%

Home Nations 14 Days: England 128.5 to 69.9 down 45.60% .  Wales 85.5 to 47.9 down 43.98%  , Northern Ireland  111.3 to 75.6 down 32.08%    UK Average 124.0 to 69.0 down 44.35%

I only caught the end of it.

What I did catch was him highlighting that three worst LAs are the three Forth Valley ones, and that there is a lot of movement in and out of Clacks (which is the current table topper). There may have been something about a decision being made next month (which is politics talk for a decision has alreday been made)

I work between Stirling and Alloa and live in Falkirk so pretty much go through each area. Every day I pass Springkerse retail park and it is a lot busier than it was prior to Christmas.

I'm not really that bothered about Killie getting relegated, I'd far rather see us both in the top league.
Do we know how many Saints fans received penalties a few weeks back?
As for the rest, I really only bother about my own situation, it's not ideal but can't really say I'm even slightly perturbed by how it's all playing out from my point of view.
First point - I think we both would, but troops to Somerset would be one of the few positives of relegation.

Second point - no idea.

Your final bit, though - law breaking is fine as long as there are enough doing it? Because it's either that or we have to accept that those charged with (and paid to) keeping the peace are scared to do so. Yep, fucking frightened. That concerns me. As in the States, we're telling lawbreakers they can act with impunity.

I'm more inclined to believe the polis do this as a way of keeping folk cheerful. Not a defence of last night's festivities.
Did anyone other than the blue trogs feel like dancing yesterday? Let alone the people charged with preventing exactly the behaviour they were participating in?

This gave me a proper laugh. Unsurprisingly, the Louden have yet to respond and no-one has offered up any footage of this selfless act.

Even more shocking, the only footage I've saw being shared is the clenny vans there about midnight and the workies chucking benches into the back of their vans this morning.

May well be Rangers fans doing their job right enough.
