DeeTillEhDeh
It's more the laughable, sensationalist reporting. The media really are a complete and utter disgrace no matter what way you cut it: I don't disagree. It's no surprise that some people are feart given the amount of crap that's been broadcast or written as news.Investigative journalism in this country is a dying art - good journalists would be scrutinising governments properly - unfortunately there are too few that do.It seems that most are either client journalists publishing whatever nonsense their political sources feed them, or are just looking for the cheap negative clickbait headline.

If they don't he will need to bailout the travel firms.Cheaper to get rid of at least the PCR testing nonsense which is clearly a major hindrance to many booking holidays.

The only reason it hasn't been yet is because of the Tory c**ts making coin from it and nothing to do with 'the science'. However, with it clear that the UK will continue to fall behind the EU and US as long as it remains in place, surely its days are numbered. As I've said previously, a fully vaxxed US citizen could travel to the EU and return to the US with no testing requirements, and fully vaxxed EU citizens can travel anywhere within the bloc with no testing requirements. An unsustainable situation for the UK for multiple reasons.

That law has been removed for over a week now hasn't it? Or is this a video from a while back? He should just have said "No thanks" and gone about his day. If they asked him to leave he should just have left. Their shop, their rules but this shite about masking needs to stop because it's low paid staff being asked to enforce it without having any legal means backing them up if it goes wrong. Also, that male member of staff absolutely should have stepped in between the bloke and those girls as soon as she burst into tears. Clip is from last year.
Elixir
The CDC have been criticised by quite a lot of scientists for that output. It truly will be fascinating to see if this exit wave and peak follows the UK in places like Florida and Texas...
Elixir
Lockdown working wonders on Delta in Australia, clearly. Guess they truly will have to start welding front doors shut like Wuhan. Or maybe just shoot rule breakers now the army is on the streets? It's almost as if being realistic by looking at the long-term and mitigating is preferable to some fantasy of permanent supression which was always going to store up problems for a later day.

Whilst restaurants, theatres and sports stadiums are open at full capacity, there are still limits on who can use them. Many venues are requiring vaccine passports, meaning that people must prove that they are fully vaccinated before they can enter. The latest chain to impose such rules is Costa, and it’s sparked a lot of backlash on Twitter… On Friday (July 30th), a Twitter user called @Ireland2020 posted a photo of a sign he had spotted in the window of a Costa Coffee branch in the Republic of Ireland. The sign outlined the new “eat in requirements” and said that everyone who wants to eat in their restaurants will now have to provide proof of immunity and photo ID. It stated that proof of immunity can include an EU Digital Covid Certificate, HSE Vaccination Card or proof that they have recovered from Covid-19. “Please prepare these documents in advance and present at counter,” the sign said before adding: “Unvaccinated customers may sit outside and use takeaway cups only.” The rules currently only apply to Costa branches in Ireland, but the tweet instantly went viral, gaining 6,000 likes and sparking nationwide backlash. It's zilch to do with Costa in RoI, it's the law to eat or drink indoors in ANY establishment to have to prove full vaccination.
