And they don't even have a date for switching from PCR to LFT for the day 2 testing. I just find it weird that you never question anything London does, only Holyrood. So because neither the journos nor you were aware of the rules currently in place for children that is somehow WM's fault?

They changed the rules so all green countries become amber effectively, so if you're unvaccinated you need to self quarantine for 11 nights, even from countries that were originally green. They said nothing about the position of children with the changed rules, so the great Mr Shapps pretended it had been clear all along, despite the best efforts of Fleet Street to get answers from his department. I really don't understand why you're defending this fool. Edited September 19, 2021 by welshbairn

I really don't understand why you're defending this fool. Probably because they hadn't changed. Children were already exempt from isolating. Why would anyone expect this to then not be the case when travel rules overall have been eased?
BigDoddyKane
Welshbairn you mentioned somewhere above the SG havent made a final desicion yet on thenew rules in regards testing? No sure if i picked that up right but if that is correct any idea when they are planning to confirm the rules going forward?

I really don't understand why you're defending this fool. I have no idea whether what you say above is true but it seems to me some confusion arose today and it was clarified within hours. You’re being critical of this while allowing SG an open ended amount of time to even figure out what it is they want to do? You need to look up dithering in the dictionary.

All they said was the coming days, so hopefully early this week, hopefully no later than Thursday. If they're just delaying agreeing to the 4 nations approach for political reasons, maybe earlier in the week, if they're trying to come up with an alternative like pricing PCRs the same as LFTs, towards the end of the week.

But only people discussing it on a football forum, none of whom set policy or profess to be actual experts, are deserving of your no inconsiderable, tears and snotters laden rage? It is a once in a century, and for most of us hopefully once in a lifetime event which has turned our lives inside out and continues to do so, yet you seem raging that folk might vent their spleens on here about it and insist that they should instead shut up and eat their cereal? Bit odd IMO.

Bit odd IMO. I'm not raging at anything, and I'm certainly not beholden to professional scientists. Unlike others, I don't feel the need to inflict my opinion on covid on a football message board ad infinitum There are certain posters on here, and I've got no idea if you two come into this category, who are obsessed by thumping out their opinions day and night. I reserve my right as an equally non-expert on a football forum, to say that these people are coming across as fucking dicks. I'm absolutely certain my opinion will have no effect on the people concerned, but I hope that answers your questions.
