English football has had pretty much unrestricted attendances since the start of the season.

They had unrestricted attendances at various points last season too. If they have an agreement with their own broadcasters not to show games at 3pm (and you'd presume they do), then there is absolutely no value in them strictly enforcing the 3pm blackout on Scottish clubs, even if it exists de jure.

Not in the top divisions. There was a maximum of 10,000 or 25% at the very tail end of the season.

It's not just about English football. Premier Sports were eventually made to back down when they tried to show La Liga matches during the blackout.

Ultimately, if the English FA want blocked hours they need to enforce* them across the board rather than picking and choosing. Of course, nobody has actually tested the water here. Thus far, it's the clubs themselves - on the advice of the SFA - that have chosen to adhere to the restriction.

*In reality, raising a complaint with UEFA.

Thailand back to Level 4

Quote

He said raising the warning to level 4 included encouraging people to work from home, suspend travel, closing risk areas and limiting the number of people at gatherings.

Schools have been closed (my son got 1 week in the last 10 months).

Some good news.  if you test positive and are not ill, you can isolate in your own home, rather than sitting in a field hospital for 14 days.

@Jacksgranda your step-son came to Thailand during the test & go which started on 1st Nov.  Test on arrival, stay one night in a hotel, if your negative you are clear to travel anywhere.  @dirty dingus will have to stay 10 or 14 days in a quarantine getting tested every few days even if he is negative if he test positive at anytime he stays longer and longer (bring your BIG money bag).  The only place that still has the test and go will be Phuket, but you will not be allowed to travel out of Phuket as from today.

You’re in the same boat as these guys.  Better get used to their company.

In what way am I "in the same boat"?

It's just old man Danger desperately trolling this thread, despite running around the Politics sub telling all and sundry not to respond to trolls 😂

A bit sad to see a boy well into his 60s this desperate for attention, but here we are.

Ultimately the SNP have always been populists as well as nationalists. If the public mood has finally shifted towards rationality rather than visceral level panic they will coast whichever wave they think will take them to independence and the usual suspects on here will change their tune overnight to fall into line with it.

Has anyone on here said the recent 500 fans thing is a good idea?

Perhaps some have, but I've not seen it.

That would require you giving an opinion on anything other than this thread being to your taste, so certainly not from you.

I think that’s exactly his point. SG came up with the 500 fans idea, no one likes it, they’ll drop it and move on. Unprincipled populism.

LFTs have massively improved their effectiveness virtually overnight. False positive rate now a minuscule 3 in 10,000 according to Shapps this morning. No idea why we are even bothering with ANY PCR confirmation bar genomic sequencing given the LFT efficacy !

Probably because a lot of companies run by friends of people in power have stockpiled PCR kits to the back teeth and have been making a killing on testing.

Which Tory has the manufacture and supply contract for LFTs now then?

They don't, the UK government funded UK production of the tests then shat the bed and haven't bothered to approve them. So whilst we fly them in from China ones made in the UK are being used in France.
