If it's so easy, why do schools need behaviour management systems? Could it be - perhaps - that kids don't always do what they've been asked?

Do you agree? No, it's the maximum practical limit, it just reduces the chances of transfer. 10 metres would be better.

Genuine Hibs Fan
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-52666042 Tough times for Edinburgh uni by the looks of things. Hope it doesn't effect teaching/staff, but hopefully means they'll sell off some of their massive land holdings and scale back turning the city into a student village

Maximum practicable, with other mitigatuons in place. Avoid multi occupancy, minimise multi occupancy, use PPE. In that order.
pandarilla
Minimise contact, maximise distance should be the mantra. Putting a number on it is stupid. Make actual requirements of workplaces to ensure sensible space is available. And get water tight (so to speak) cleaning regimes. We can clean the f**k out of this country, and that'll help reduce the spread too.Nothing is perfect, but with all these measures in place we can get out of the lockdown quickly...once we get the bloody testing operation up to speed.
Billy Jean King
This is believable. I would guess that our lockdown has involved many multiples more of social contact time than the stricter versions on the continent. They huge variations in the % previously infected by different studies suggests it's as accurate as the R rate.

Where a van is needed, use other methods to minimise risk. 11 minutes ago, Stinky Bone said: Shite. You are at it. No. See above. If I am wrong I dont have a problem with that, but you havent proved it so, and blanket policy IMO is damaging so we need the middle ground. We need the adult conversation.

resk
Any one got an answer for how to socially distance in a van? The government guidance says social distancing should be followed at work where reasonably possible, so you can be within 2m of a colleague (eg sitting in a van) without breaking the law.
