As for how (and which) pubs might work upon reopening, the Irish draft guidelines ahead of their progression to the next phases (June 29 then July 20) are instructive:

You think that someone equating what we saw last Saturday with what we are seeing this Saturday is "quite progressive"?

No.

I think debating in a respectful way, rather than ripping the arse out of someone.

But i think you knew that.

Until pubs can open as normal as possible, I can't see why i'd bother going.

That sounds shite. Not the reservations as such (though this would be a PITA), but i'd spend more time queuing for a pee than sitting down. Much rather have people over in the garden or house.

It's unfortunate for pub owners as their pubs will close, but, ultimately, new ones will pop up to take their place when we are allowed to be normal again.

Ordinarily I'd agree, but I used them advisedly. They play in the Provanmill/ Garscadden area and have been getting 3,400 regularly, largely drawn from disaffected Celtic supporters that are too militant for The Gren Brigade.
Just for comparison, we were up there twice at the start of the season, both on Wednesday nights. First one had a crowd of around 500, second about 200. Celtic were playing a Euro qualifier on the night of the second game.

I certainly agree that there will be an element of uncertainty but having a ticketing and capacity structure in place can easily handle that. The idea of people waltzing up and paying at the gate/door for any sort of live event should really be off the table for some time to come - and if that means that some of the most basic non-league outfits can't start then they'll have to sit it out.
That's Morton fucked then !!!

I think you'll find that the innovative open air, bench seating facilities of the Wee Dublin End set us up perfectly for this scenario. The extra twenty quid a head for a poncho will fund our Champions League campaign.

Hopefully the social distancing rules in pub toilets will educate the numpties who don't understand basic urinal etiquette.

I’m more concerned if you’ll still get the clatty bassas nipping for a pee, not washing their hands then holding onto a pint glass

Why are 24hr supermarkets still running restricted hours btw?

The reduced hours were brought in to allow them to restock after panic buyers had been in, but that stopped months ago. No reason now for them not to revert to 24 hours.

My cousin is a manager in Morrisons, he reckons the vast majority of 24 hour stores across all the big supermarket chains won't return to that model of working.
