Been monitoring Turkey very closely as I'm meant to be flying out there on Saturday.

They seem to have got a grip of things there - daily infection numbers have been falling all week.

Yesterday's and today's figures were the lowest daily figures since 28 August.

The turks did more checks in the airport on arrival than the UK, masks far better enforced. The only ones not following the rules were Brits.
you’ll have a great time!

FL’s been fudging their figures for months and any data that comes from there should be taken as if it had a Sunday Sport banner at the top of the brief.

I follow a few FL sports teams, including college teams, they genuinely think that with disney world open but at half capacity and only 50% of crowds in college football stadia that they are making a real effort. Mental.

I wonder how long the majority will accept restrictions and things they used to enjoy in their free time (live sports, gigs etc)? Will we be sitting here in 2023 still abiding by them whilst saying “...but a vaccine will be here soon”

Was thinking, what Covid norms would stay once there is a vaccine and things are getting back to normal?

Will wearing face coverings in public transport be permanent? Hand sanitising stations in every business from shops to pubs/restaurants?

Or just look at Sweden

Sweden had voluntary restrictions that were well adhered to. You know that though.

Given the amount of cry babies losing their mind at being asked to stick a mask on in Home Bargains, I'm not entirely sure voluntary restrictions would work here.

Yeah their official data is very dodgy that's true. Do think we will still see an effect though
