No_Problemo
Is it just me or is hinting at this type of thing really poor. The ensuing uncertainty it causes millions of people for weeks on end is appalling.

And it clearly is happening

Szamo's_Ammo
Surely the best way of getting the virus under control is to act decisively and without delay. Is there a certain window of time they have in mind for this "circuit breaker"? If you're going to do it, why wait any longer when delaying is only going to result in more infections and deaths? -

Because it will pump various companies into liquidation obviously

It's almost like they've learned absolutely nothing from delaying the first lockdown in March. It's either Covid elimination or a "grown up conversation" about how we live with the virus. If elimination is still the goal, delaying lockdown whilst the virus is spiralling out of control is a dereliction of duty. Sherrif John Bunnell
I'm not particularly enamoured about the prospect of being forced into another lockdown just because it happens to be the tattie holidays.
scottmcleanscontacts
Think it's possible that any hard lockdown during the school holidays might be the straw that breaks the camel's back for a lot of people.I haven't a fucking clue whether it's a good idea or not on the scientific front but I can't see it being particularly welcomed or adhered to.

scottmcleanscontacts
Perth and Kinross is next week and the one after so in any event the idea of a lockdown in the holidays seems pretty unlikely given the different approaches the local authorities are taking to when they are off. Would probably mean a three week lockdown in entirety or localised ones. Nah, can't see it, should be dead in the water.
Have some faith in Magic
Surely the costs to small businesses to stop and start up again aren't inconsequential. It would be the end for many companies that are already teetering on the brink.

It's to off-set the fact that school started a week earlier (when the kids went in for one day)
