Billy Jean King
Yes. Quite happy for them to remain the largest party, but either in a minority government, or in a coalition. They can pop Indy on the back burner until this mess is sorted out; a mess which they have helped create.More chance of Covid disappearing Trump style !
Detournement
It's illegal to buy underwear in Wales now. What a world.
vikingTON
For all the complaints of the Nippy Sweetie!!!1111!!! making pointless gestures to distinguish Scotland from London, the Labour-led glorified village council for Wales is setting a whole new benchmark in empty gesture politics right now. Typical stoking of division from separatists IMO. -

I'm confused as to why you are thankful that a coalition, that would force political pointscoring on both sides to be suspended in favour of working together, is, given the unique situation we find ourselves currently in, a bad thing.

Rather than stop protesters, the police joined them. Good to see them all complying with the mask requirements too. I'm not too sure what point you are making here tbh.

Given that you praised Boris for following the Swedish model on the day that he suggested Street Covid Inspectors, I'm curious to hear what you would have done to avert this "mess".
101
Covid-19, great bunch of lads. Pissing off the right people for restricting their civil liberties of... Checks notes.... Buying greetings cards. If only we could get the briefings in Welsh and Gaelic some folks heads would explode

Would have copied Tegnell's strategy as soon as it was obvious he'd nailed it.

And you would have accused Sturgeon of reckless political opportunism even if she had the powers to impose his dubious strategy. I just find it weird that you never criticize Westminster while complaining about every decision coming out of Holyrood. DeeTillEhDeh
I am very pro mask but being aggressive towards people who aren’t wearing masks is inexcusable. One in five people in the U.K. have some form of respiratory illness, these can often make wearing masks difficult. I’ve seen some people unmasked who clearly had mental health problems as well.I did say I can understand why he reacted - it wouldn't be me. I just think there are too many people who are just completely ignoring face mask wearing - in sense I am aggressively pro-masks. Saw one guy last week, with what I assumed was his partner, coming out of Asda - not wearing masks. They headed to a works van with what I assume is his trade on the side - Auto Specialist Spray Painter and Repairs. I wonder if he wears a mask at work . . . I don't deny there will be some who can't wear masks - but one in 5? I just don't believe that.

DeeTillEhDeh
He forgot to add that everyone dropped their shopping and gave the old boy a guard of honour as he left the store.I walked past - couldn't be bothered with the argument. I think most other folk were just trying to ignore them.

Far more halfwits and “nobody’s going to tell me what to do” than folk with genuine reasons.

madwullie
Seems to be that the Venn diagram of people who are incandescent at supermarkets not being allowed to sell stuff that small businesses who have been forced to close would sell and people literally gagging with desire for everything to be opened up to "help small businesses" is pretty much a perfect circle. Must have been a worrying hour or so for them on twitter waiting to see what their thought leaders, and therefore, them, were most angry about.
Ludo*1
In a similar story to @DeeTillEhDehs I witnessed this really greasy looking fucker shout at an old man, 'Can you not see that I'm trying to avoid you?!?' as the old man was walking into a shop (Morrisons in Arbroath). The old man just laughed it off. (Practically in his face) I assumed he was laughing at said greasy fucker as no-one would have wanted to go near him at any point. Funnily enough, the only one not wearing a mask was the one complaining.
