That's an alcohol ban on trains now.

Also staff at a school in Benbecula test positive for the virus,

Here primary 3 to 7 are closing until the 26th.

Its interesting that the decision makers on the Western Isles can close classes or an entire school for precautionary measures and why very few others elsewhere in Scotland can react like this when there is an issue. No one wishing to play the herd immunity game with children and staff there I take it.

Probably the numbers involved and the fragile state of the health care available on the island

Moderna announced. 94.5% effective.

Looking good. Not so keen on them all rushing to announce success before the phase 3 trials are complete though.

He said the inclusion of high-risk and elderly people in the Moderna trial suggested the vaccine would protect those most vulnerable to the disease, while the reported side effects were “what we would expect with a vaccine that is working and inducing a good immune response”.

“Moderna have also announced that the vaccine can be kept in a conventional freezer at -20C for up to 6 months, and that once thawed the vaccine can be kept for up to 30 days at standard refrigerator temperatures of 2 to 8C. This makes the vaccine much easier to deliver,” he said.

“The race for a coronavirus vaccine has received another shot in the arm”

Terrible pun.

You realise that phase 3 trials won’t be complete until 2022 right?

I thought the regulations required 164 people to be infected before approval is given, so they're more than half way if the second wave lasts a bit longer. Long term effects will obviously take longer but that won't delay rolling it out.

I see we've not got any of the moderna stuff on order. Ah well, not for us.

The EU have but Boris insisted on going it alone, and Cummings hasn't got any mates at Moderna.

Has smug Tory c**t Dyson announced he's going to start churning out -80°C  Singaporean-made freezers with cyclone cooling technology at an exorbitant cost to the Great British taxpayer yet?
