I suppose one silver lining is that Liverpool will probably win the EPL in the most underwhelming way possible. Either behind closed doors or by default.

Tent Alexander Arnold will be gutted.

Although Scotland being denied a place at the Euros because of this would be the most Scotland thing ever.

I was hoping we'd get the automatic spot (if these March playoffs don't go ahead) due to us being the top seed in C.

No doubt if that happens, the Euros will then be cancelled.

its also the worst tournament for it , as it's the first one to be held in 12 cities as opposed to being contained in the one country. Will mean fans are travelling from country to country

Anyone entering Israel will now be quarantined for 14 days so this could have effects on our play off game

It would be selfish to keep playing and not put the health of others first right now.  For this reason, I strongly suggest that we make this season's Scottish League Two null and void, restarting afresh with all the same teams in August (P0 W0 D0 L0).

I'd have thought you'd be more likely to catch it in a busy pub than a stadium. Even if there's 50,000 there you'll only be in contact with a few for more than seconds.

Indeed. The Government is thinking about forcing Sky and BT to show the rest of the EPL season for free to stop people congregating in pubs.

Given that not everybody goes to the pub for the football, I also propose that they force the breweries to send us all a keg or two for free.  Can't be too careful I say.

That's true. Although on the other hand it gives some room for movement if one or two countries do not wish to host the games. For example if the Italian government refused to allow the Rome matches to be played, it might be possible to play them at another host city at relatively short notice. However if it was a normal tournament that had a host country if that government did not want the tournament being played, say Italy, then the whole thing would need to be binned.

I think come the tournament the virus will be so widespread that countries will be past worrying about flights from other countries or mass gatherings. However I can't see how the play-offs are going to go ahead, most countries will be at the stage Italy are now at by then.
