Shes wanting an unknown source to give cash to lower league clubs, without contracts or a legal trail, days before a vote. She says it doesnt depend on the vote? Shes lied about the vast majority of things in the last month alone.

She got told to make it an official offer of a donation, and it would be put to a vote next week after the reconstruction vote and she refused to do so. That's her own words in the interview. rb123!
Astonishing stuff on Sportsound just now. Interview with Budge where she says that she has philanthropists ready to pump multi millions into Scottish Football, especially the lower leagues, with no catches (won’t save Hearts, Thistle or Stranraer) She approached SPFL and was told to do a paper!! Doncaster getting flamed. Money is ready to go into clubs accounts now and they are being told to put in a paper. You couldn’t make it up. Well I think there would have to be checks on the credibility of where this money was coming from.Could be some Saudi Arabia slave trade money for all you know

Possibly contractual issues with league sponsors? I cant imagine the SPFL or SFA can just accept large amounts of money without assurances of where the money comes from (i.e. making sure its not illegally earned money). Obviosuly any money coming in would be great, but there are usually catches to these things. Makes sense the SPFL/SFA wouldnt just take the money and run with it without needing some due diligence. There's also the Ann Budge clusterfuck factor which should send alarm bells ringing. No, you can just take it. Her pal has been saving up.

People commenting while not even listening to the show. Doncaster has now contacted the show and says he will be urgently contacting her to discuss Purposefully misconstruing things there. The SPFL released a statement saying that at no point was it made explicit any cash offers were unconditional. 55 minutes ago, AyrExile said: At no point did Ann Budge say they were friends of hers. vikingTON
Partick fans desperately clambering aboard Ann Budge's patently sinking ship to save themselves is an unexpected but hilarious turn of events. It'll just make their trouncing and shared relegation all the more pleasing.
Popular Post Socks
I've listened to her interview carefully twice and the one thing that strikes me is how she is attempting to control the media with this. The interview its self sounds to me to be one that the two of them have gone through everything first, rather than it being one where she's confronted with questions she doesn't have prepared answers to. Brian McLaughlin seems little more than a bit part for an Ann Budge monologue, to make her pitch look slightly more credible. In regard to this possible money from philanthropists, she complains about things not happening quickly enough and says she's been asked by the SPFL (direct quote): "could you put it down in writing, could you tell us exactly what's on offer" What exactly is wrong with that? Absolutely nothing. From the SPFL's perspective, it seems entirely responsible to want to know this, yet the whole discussion afterwards was a group of angry men saying with fake incredulity 'put in a paper!' I'm fairly sure she's spoken to her pet 'journalist' Tom English prior to it being aired as well. She doesn't mention that it's money from people who have put money into Hearts, but English does. Both McLauchlin and English are, completely unsurprisingly, not questioning in the slightest, and both make great play over how people at the SPFL simply need to make phone contact and give the very one-sided impresion that the SPFL are being really slow. Also, nicely sneaked into the interview without being the main thrust of it, but knowing perfectly well that it was going to be the main discussion topic afterwards. It seems an incredibly cynical tactic, and it just entrenches me in my stance that Budge can go f**k herself.
North Terrace Gazza
I listened to the interview and if there is millions of pounds earmarked for Scottish football with no strings then great. However, I too am extremely dubious about all this and it is surely a smokescreen designed to curry favour with the lower leagues in a last desperate appeal to get her reconstruction passed.

Ann Budge was on Sky yesterday, and never mentioned a single thing about it. Why, then, do you think she suddenly decided to announce it on Scottish radio, days before a vote, when those "questioning" her were people who have supported her the entire time? Almost as if todays performance was nothing more than a propaganda speech so she dropped in something to rile up the masses.

Forget change at the premiership and focus on a 12-12-10-10 setup for this coming session and maybe a 12-12 if no clubs can play. Most of the top league are happy with the size and temporary changes just bring problem s a year or two down the line. Dont expect Hearts plans to pass as they are throwing bribes and threats at all hoping one of these will work. Get Falkirk up and keep Partick in. Would be a cracking league in my humble opinion -
