Governance of the game.  Ah, so that was what this was all about.  Thanks Tom.

That is what he will bang on about on Saturday. Will say that Dave Cormack "and others" are unhappy with the governance. I do hope that him, Preston, McCann are on crying into their beers.

What is 100% true is that there is no way the editorial side of the program will say "these 2 clubs were wrong and have been shown to be wrong every step of the way".

Actually thats not true, Richard Gordon might tell it how it is.

"Seismic injustice" talk is just downright silly.

Hearts have been unfortunate in that the season ended early.  Personally, I think the right decision was reached, but there's a legitimate enough argument that says some sort of reorganisation would have been fairer.

Even if you think that though, it requires a massive and irrational leap to see the relegation as wildly unjust.  It simply isn't.  Hearts and Thistle were not selected for their fates via the drawing of lots.

Joint statement:

Response to Scottish FA Article 99 Arbitration: Determination – 27.02.20

Arbitral Tribunal:

“The tribunal appointed in terms of Scottish Football Association Article 99 issued its decision today. It unanimously held that the challenges to the Written Resolution of 15 April 2020 failed, and that the SPFL were entitled to pass, and give effect to, the Written Resolution and all that flowed from it. Accordingly it refused to grant any of the orders sought by Heart of Midlothian FC and Partick Thistle FC and continued the arbitration for submissions about expenses.”

Joint Statement by Heart of Midlothian FC and Partick Thistle FC:

“As all Parties have been requested not to comment on the tribunal’s decision or reveal details of the hearings on the grounds of confidentiality, all we can only say is how disappointed and surprised we are at the outcome.

“We don’t regret taking this action as it was the right thing for us to do. There were better ways to deal with ending the season, fairer ways other than putting the burden of a pandemic on to three clubs.”

I imagine any statement will be short and not have the sort of reaction people are hoping for.  We've exhausted our options, time to move on now.

Called it.

Disappointing. That's about as sane and reasonable a response as you could expect. I was fully expecting a tad more belligerence or ranting or hints at future reprisals or actions against the Scottish footballing establishment. Maybe reality has finally sunk in down Gorgie way.

Will be a better statement when they get skelped for the expenses

I'm still stuck on JKB when I should be getting ready to go out.

Im no longer accepting the “we deserved it for being shite” argument.  Villa, Barnsley, Luton and Huddersfield blew that logic out the window.  We would have stayed up, no doubt about it, and I think we would have kicked on next season.

Health & social care system: yes; football clubs: no.
