Just out of interest though why should we have to play midweek when they used saturdays for another associations cup but our owns may have to get second billing? Surely thats an own goal for a cup we have with a sponsor etc?
Dev
Maybe not getting licenced this time around but Benburb are currently erecting cover at the ground - is that separate from the seats? In terms of the physical requirements they cannot be too far away from meeting current licence standards - unless someone knows different? AsimButtHitsASix
Absolute Mandela Effect moment as I can clearly remember New Tinto already having coverage.

I am sure that I heard the seats went to the Buffs.

Actually think that it's better for Bens to have some cover than seats - although if its all on flat then possibly not overly effective
Glenconner
Got to hand it to Blantyre Victoria for those two small stands they built. Quietly impressed. Edited May 11, 2022 by Glenconner
wintonfan
so why not rebuild the seats under the shed at tinto, it was a scaffold type structure, or was it sold to pay for the shed
Craig fae the Vale
Cover up, steps going in at some point. I believe it's on the patch of ground where the seats used to be. I know I'd much rather have covered standing than the old uncovered seats.

Dev
It cannot be long before there's some news on the clubs which have been licenced this time around. Isn't it sometime this month that there's an SFA meeting to make decisions?

FairWeatherFan
It was mentioned in either an East or Lowland thread that Benburb, Bonnyton Thistle, Kilwinning Rangers, Rutherglen Glencairn, and Pollok were the ones trying to be licenced this summer.
Dev
There have been numerous mentions of ambition to go for a licence in the seasons to come from other clubs too. It will be interesting to see if there are any surprise clubs licenced this time round - as the deadlines have been shifted back from Feb to may this time. Not long to wait now.

I don't think so from the West. Those names came from @Glensmad . Any other names are likely to come from elsewhere. At the minute it's looking like the West 5 + Tayport & Lochee United + at least St Andrews United. If there ends up being 8 new members that's not a bad return.

Don't Gartcairn have ambitions, and Blantyre Vics - maybe next time around?
