craigkillie
It's the worst and often overlooked aspect of the handball rule that any touch of the hand or arm, even an accidental one, which immediately leads to a goal by that player should be penalised. It makes no sense at all that this and only this specific type of accidental handball isn't allowed. We had one ruled out against St Johnstone last season where a set piece was put into a packed area of players, and the ball bounced down off Kyle Vassell's arm before he prodded it into the net. The "handball" was clearly accidental and yet the goal was ruled out. There were a couple of other Killie players nearby, and if one of them had scored then the goal would have stood.
Derry Alli
"Okay guys, you're right. It's not handball. Still, sportscene should have wasted a load of time saying 'is this handball?' even though we all agree it's clear it's not". Genuinely baffling that you'd back yourself into a corner, make an idiot of yourself and then still try and blame someone else for not pointlessly discussing it so you could - no doubt - complain about them wasting time on pointlessly discussing it.

Was that the same game in which Andy Considine played volleyball in his own box and got away with it? Two incidents that show the rule as it stands up as the nonsense it is.

Ray Patterson
The Scottish Cup Sportscene's are produced by a different production company - I think it's Sunset+Vine - that used to do BT's SPFL coverage. While the run of the mill Sportscene is a BBC Scotland production.

Those are the games that had full outside broadcasts. A few of the other games had 2-3 cameras, but most will just be 1 camera jobs. And I have a feeling the three shocks will be among them.

Hopefully they lead with the upsets before cracking on with those three games, full OBs or not.

Obviously the Sportscene big wigs know better. Starting with the thriller at Dumbarton…
Jacky1990
Kicking off the show with one of the most boring, predictable games that was shown on live TV just cause it features one of the arse cheeks. State of scottish football sometimes.
Central Belt Caley
Surely they could’ve found somewhere inside to interview the managers? ‘Mon outside lads back into the wind and pishing rain for a wee chat’

The Naitch
They really are going in the order of where the OBs were instead of the actual football stories, aren’t they?

Seems pretty obvious they had the order decided before the games were played. Idiots.
Guest
If Hibs would rather play in Dubai than Forfar they can piss off to the UAE where "Jonners" would obviously rather be

Thing is - and I hate comparing us to England - in the FA Cup highlights they almost always go with the upsets first even if it has been filmed on a dodgy camcorder with a local radio commentary. That’s how it should go for Cup highlights shows.
Guest
The 1st game in the FA Cup highlights was Maidstone v Stevenage as that was the upset. Mind you, who each remembers the footage of Albion Rovers v Motherwell being filmed balanced on top of a corner flag?

But cant argue they arent the best at marketing themselves and highlighting narratives for pretty much every game.

Those match highlights with Jane Lewis were the height of innovation compared to the lazy running order we’ve had tonight. I hope that’s how they’ve filmed Airdrie vs St Johnstone tbh
