St Johnstone v Kilmarnock Friday 6/11/20

Recommended Posts

There will be plenty of huffing and puffing, but little in the way of houses getting blown down.

0-0 looks a fairly sound shout for this with two competent defences on top.  Some reasonable periods of pretty passing in midfield from either side, but very little in the way of chances or goalmouth action.

If Kilmarnock score first, they will take the spoils.

It always feels like a shite bet to put on as you're hoping for a lack of goals, but heaping much big cash on less than 2.5 goals in total sounds like a sure thing...

That and Steve Maclean to shout "fucking hell ref" in the 18th minute.

Looking forward to this, do enjoy a Friday night game. Usually the cold clear nights under the floodlights are a season highlight, let's hope we get to see it live again soon.

                                Clark

McNam  Kerr  Gordon  McCart  Tanser

                McCann  Davidson

            Conway  May  Spoony

I'd imagine it will be the same team but with Ali back starting before his international duties, no need to stretch/risk Bryson.  Suspect that CD has found his default shape and players. Leaves us with strong bench but he's not all that keen on using subs in numbers or particularly early.

Expect to see us testing the full-backs and our defence not to see as many balls over the midfield that we've been lapping up recently, so might be a different type of threat to deal with.

Will be a good midfield battle and a tactical test for managers.

1-0 Saints. Melamed, 93 minutes.

Looking forward to this. There has never been a more important Meh Derby since the most recent Meh Derby. Having done a bit of research, I've come to the conclusion that a 93rd-minute Melamed winner would make him the biggest legend in Saints history since Michael O'Halloran who scored a 94th-minute winner against Kilmarnock in August.

See Kilmarnock fans are the latest bunch to mewl that us charging a whole 5 more pounds than them to watch a game online is an atrocity against humanity.

No mention of the fact their stream was an absolute fucking mess that saw most folk missing most of the match though, obviously.

Grown men (mostly) having a meltdown about the price of a stream is peak twitter moron IMO.

Its not like they're forced to pay it and they're allowed to not be happy about it but so many getting a bit overly agitated.

They're going to need to be careful they don't have a brain haemorrhage when fans are allowed back in fully as well when clubs increase their PATG & season ticket prices! (although thats a more reasonable thing to have a meltdown about than stream prices)

Think crowds will be bigger or smaller when stadiums are fully open again?

I think we'll see an initial rush back with some decent crowds, but the pressure will be on to keep that up though as I suspect that PAYG is here to stay.

Away trips to, for example, St Mirren for a midwinter midweeker being even less appealing than they were before. Even some of the most dedicated will surely be tempted to miss one or two and when you skip a couple it's easier to skip a couple more ...

St Johnstone can charge whatever they want, just don't expect many folk to actually pay it.

Why spend half an hour crying all over Twitter about then, if that's how you feel?

You think they'll drop the prices because a grown man had a tantrum?
