Celtic v Kilmarnock

You’ve got the players to be dominating Kilmarnock but I don’t see what’s wrong, slow build up and some pedestrian passing. No idea if changing manager is the answer but you really need to do something.

We’ve about 7 or 8 defensive or defensive minded players on the park and having a fair bit of possession in the killie half, hard to watch.

Last two games Edouard normally would have buried his chance but it’s always the way when the pressure is on and confidence is low. Snatches at it an puts it wide, you’d put your house on him normally.

Positives from a Killie perspective: we finally ended a game with a full XI on the park.

Negatives from a Killie perspective: just about everything else. Far too many poor performances against a lacklustre Celtic side, and the fact that we allowed big Shane Dunderheid to get a goal proves how bad our performance was. No shots on goal or target - it's simply not good enough and my well of general goodwill towards the management team is becoming increasingly more dry. Just as well we've got Aberdeen to play next week - we can always get a win against them, right?

Listened to portions of the game on the radio and sounded like Celtic were very comfortable and controlled the majority of the game.

Doesn’t seem like Dyer followed the tactical template that was used to a degree of success by Ross County and St Johnstone over recent weeks at Celtic Park.

He followed the tactical template that got us quite loads of points at Celtic Park and Ibrox over the last few years, but the big issue is that we don't have the same quality of players any more. O'Donnell and Taylor to McGowan and Haunstrup is a massive drop in quality, Kabamba isn't as good as Brophy, Stewart, Boyd, McKenzie isn't Jones, and Alan Power of 2020 is nowhere near the Alan Power of 2018. Missing Gary Dicker for a game like this is massive too, because without his bravery on the ball you simply can't keep possession.

I think it's time Dyer realised that and maybe look towards playing the way we did at home against Celtic and Rangers, where we gave them both a fair bit of trouble by being solid defensively but trying to counter quickly when we could.
