Lex Posted December 19, 2020 Share Posted December 19, 2020 HT 1-2 Been a fairly even game. We haven’t been terrible but haven’t been playing aswell as we have been. Shaughnessy’s had a nightmare and was at fault for both of their goals, daft to give away that penalty and the clearance for the second was terrible. Erhahon has been excellent again and took his goal well. Kerr sent off for the Saintees just on half time for a wild out of control lunge on Durmus. Maybe slightly harsh but was certainly at least a yellow. The contact seems to be on his arm/body as the guy jumps it. It wasn’t very clever but there’s no way that was worth a red. Ha, was thinking the same, the game has actually been pretty bad. I think all three goals would be very disappointing for the teams conceding them. We started pretty poorly then get the penalty from nowhere. Not entirely sure what Shaughnessy thought he was doing with that. We then took a lift from that and seemed to have the game right where we wanted it only to concede yet another goal from a second ball where we don’t put any pressure on it. All that would have taken was McNamara or either of the centre backs to try and run at it to either block the shot or at least put the guy off. Didn't see us getting that second when it came but fair play to Tanser for a nice strike. Think Saints marginally the better team but two really bad goals to concede. HUGE 45 for both teams coming up.
