Yet they managed to clear the pitch of snow. Unfortunately plastic can still get wet and water still freezes at sub zero temperature even when it's in contact with plastic....some folk are unbelievableFB_IMG_1609339792279.jpg

Ha ha I was taking the piss

Partick vs Aberdeen game got postponed in 1992 when Aberdeen was leading 2-0 at half time with the funny brush incident. The rearranged match Aberdeen won 7-0

Yeah, reckon the only real worry with this game would have been the police saying it's not safe for fans to be travelling.

Think this'll be the game Martindale loses his 100% record, Aberdeen to shitfest their way to a 1-0 win.

"Only real worry"

Obviously didn't account for temperatures as high as -3 all night along with more snow

Anyway, not at all surprising to see folk completely fail to grasp that water can freeze... Do folk think the artificial pitch magically melts ice? :unsure2:

Really poor stuff from Livi. Everyone else got their games on. What’s happening?

There's a part of the pitch that doesn't get any sun at all so when it freezes it's game over. With our grass pitch even if the ice melted the game would be off for being waterlogged.

Irrelevant. That's your clubs issue.

An absolute shambles allowing an opponent to travel half way across the country for a game on a pitch you'd spent the best part of 24 hours unsuccessfully trying to unfreeze.

Martindale got interviewed on Sportsound and said it was his family that were clearing the pitch to try and get it playable.

If that’s the case, surely that doesn’t count as a real effort to get the game on ??

(Although going against Martindale’s ‘family’ and you’ll likely end up with concrete wellies on)

Aberdeen were in the loop the whole time and were happy to have the inspection close to kick off to give the game more of a chance. Imagine being this raging and trying to blame folk for weather

I'm not raging. I now don't have to search for a stream to watch two teams play long balls for 90 mins while the players slide about the place like Bambi.

According to social media Aberdeen requested the pitch be inspected last night.

This makes our appeal hearing very interesting now.

I know this is most likely tongue in cheek, but it's hilarious to see people genuinely thinking it's the same thing.

"Kilmarnock FC, you admitted to breaching guidelines that are in place specifically to keep people safe during the spread of a deadly virus throughout the globe, wha--"

"-- aye but it snowed in Livingston and the SFA referee decided the pitch was too frozen to play on"
