Broon_100
That was absolutely garbage. Quite rightly in the relegation fight now, Davidson coming across as arrogant with his persistent use of a formation that's failing to produce goals. For all the good play at times our composure and shooting ability is as bad as you'll see anywhere.

Jamie_B
How on earth was that only a yellow for Winter? Not that it makes any odds but where’s the consistency? One thing that is consistent is our utter inability to score goals. We’ve absolutely dominated that game and had plenty of chances to win it. We’re still not creating enough clear cut stuff compared to the possession and territory we have but equally, you can’t blame the system for Kane and May absolutely failing to connect with easy free headers six yards out right in the middle of the goal or MOH missing the target from four yards out. That’s as bad a result as our defeat to County earlier in the season for me and something needs to change quickly.
accies1874
Saints will have 20 shots* no matter what; the result just depends on whether they take a few. We will have maybe three shots, one inside the box if we're lucky. I wasn't keeping count but it feels like this was the case.
PauloPerth
Clean sheet and a point, well played Saints.
The Real Saints
Honestly, it's got to the stage where it wouldn't surprise me if Melamed is actually a world-beater and Callum Davidson simply doesn't realise it.
FuzzyBear
Winter very lucky indeed. Should have been a red all day long. Rice will be happy his tactics worked and we will be subjected to the same dross on saturday. -
Zamora Fan
Deary me. Callum has to be more prepared to change things than this - if he truly trusts in this system then fine, but in a game where we are dominating yet too often have no one in the areas of the box that matter, take off a centre half. Waiting until the 85th min to bring on O’Halloran and then doing so for Wotherspoon is criminal, tbh. 3 big centre backs at the back with f**k all to do except occasionally go on pointless runs for 90 mins.Having a philosophy and trusted system is fine, sticking to it no matter what is going on in front of you is not. We are always going to miss chances, the issue isn’t that we didn’t take the few we made the issue is that we didn’t make enough. Also Stevie May is our best player and should not have been taken off under any circumstance imo.
Kyle
Absolute guff. Get this shape in the bin. May involved in the build up play on the left with McCart, Spoony, Booth and Craig until we eventually throw a shit cross into the box, where Kane and only Kane is waiting on loop. We had about 25 shots, more I think, but Hamilton created the best chance of the game, up until we MOH'd it in the last minute. We need to pray that County remain this shit. This philosophy manager and his nability/unwillingness to change things will take us down otherwise. accies1874
I wasn't keeping count but it feels like this was the case. Surely not [emoji2962]There we go, 29 shots. Very few of them were troubling for 75 minutes or so but they then missed three sitters towards the end.
perthsaint1977
Bin this formation at home. It's just dire and infuriating. Fine away from home but have to be braver at home.
Fife Saint
That was as brutal as it was predictable. How McCann walked away without a broken ankle from that challenge at the end is beyond me.
RandomGuy.
10 years as a top flight side is good going tbf, shame it looks over now. Manager turning into one of those shit ones obsessed with their "philosophy", plus a loyalty to shit attackers that tracks back to TWs time, costing us yet again.

PauloPerth
4 goals in 11 home league matches isn't very good.
djchapsticks
There's no fucking way there were 29 St. Johnstone shots and none on target. That's surely not possible.
Kyle
Just now, PauloPerth said: 4 goals in 11 home league matches isn't very good. 4 home goals in 12 games against top flight opposition. Dire. We deserve relegation on that basis alone and will get it unless the shape changes and we find a way to put away the little clear cut chances we get.
Broon_100
Kane had a shot on target and at least one other shot trundled into the goalies arms (one from booth and one from McNamara).

Na we managed a few on target, they were low trundlers right at the goalkeeper. Gourlay wasn't troubled by anything out of those 29 shots.
