Ginaro
Must admit it is a bit strange seeing clubs and leagues who haven't tweeted much if at all recently, put out a tweet saying they're not going to tweet for three days. Rashford pointed out a blatantly wrong, right wing, capitalist policy which could easily be remedied. Racism and online abuse, however is an insiduous aspect of social culture which unfortunately cannot be so easily reversed. Again, admirable though the sentiments behind the boycott are, it's throwing a cup of water on a raging inferno. Especially since it's obvious that those boycotting will still log on plenty over the weekend, if nothing else than to discover who to call racist for having the audacity to break the boycott. For the avoidance of doubt, I am not aiming any annoyance at the WoSFL like my "wee pal". They are part of the SFA and so, of course, need to be compliant with the requests for boycott. you're not wrong about the curtain twitching to see who's doing what.

Killiepiyo
If racists didn’t exist at our level perhaps have a point but they do. Some of the personal abuse dished oot about players or staff has been brutal. Better they are doing something than nothing and anyone who uses terms such as woke and virtue signalling to describe action against these things, are perhaps more interested in ignoring the problem than finding solutions.

I can never imagine a Scottish guy actually using the words "woke", "social justice warrior", "virtue signalling", etc and not getting slaughtered for sounding like a fandan.

I’m not a hater of Americanising the language but seeing trump supporter terms banded about makes me cringe. Most opposition terms to BLM and anti racism are sadly adopted by lazy folk here who often for example use them criticise players taking the knee. Or describing the concept of humans being equal and treated as such, as a leftist agenda. Edited May 1, 2021 by Killiepiyo

Finnart are looking to play out of Springburn temporarily with another club, we are talking with Partick Thistle Trust to make sure the parks are available and can be upgraded to suit with Finnart moving back to Glasgow green once it’s ready to pass the ground criteria. Shanner
I'm sure the thread would have reverted back on topic as soon as something relevant happened. Nobody seems to be reporting anything right now for some reason.
Andy groundhopper
Hopefully all of the new clubs will be accepted into the WOSFL, and because of the pandemic etc maybe they'll get possibly a 1 or 2 years grace to get grounds up to scratch. (If required) All new clubs and grounds for me to visit and enjoy - asap - must get to read up on these clubs. Excellent stuff.
parkcircus
The mechanism to allow new teams in is very difficult to get right this season, lots of parts to get right, we are working daily on different scenarios.
FairWeatherFan
Looks like it's official and Shettleston Juniors are no more. Now rebranded under the Glasgow United name.

craigkillie
Absolutely rotten stuff. A name full of history and with a clear sense of location replaced by the most generic thing possible.

It was all set to be their new name but apparently there's a club already out there that do some charity work, and they ended up becoming Caledonian Braves instead.

Thanks for the update. My wish list would include revised / relaxed / staggered entry criteria for a WOSFL “Feeder Division” which would avoid the situation in the EOSFL where Letham AFC, an ambitious club with potential, did not make the cut despite having a floodlit synthetic pitch similar to set-ups used by Rosyth and Leigh Athletic.
