Salt n Vinegar
Apparently the nasty EU have told the UK to GTF on the suggested migrant return scheme. I must say that His Majesty's Government is making a superb job of taking back control of our borders.

We also seem to be getting a daily Home Office Covid style report on the number of "migrants" attempting to cross the Channel each day reported by Sky as breaking news ! That said earlier it was "breaking news" that Sunak was "back at work after his family holiday"

If they can't understand simple rules like that heaven help us when it comes to complicated international treaties.
oneteaminglasgow
There can barely be a single sector of the economy where this c**t doesn’t have financial interests. Have to say, that PPE degree at Oxford has a lot of fucking explaining to do.

It’s not credible that he didn’t understand the difference between registering an interest and declaring it to a committee. It’s such a straightforward distinction that no one of normal intelligence and competence could have “inadvertently” got it wrong. I don’t believe Sunak is less intelligent than a normal person. He could simply be incompetent and not have taken advice on the rules. Or he could have given his slimy answer to the committee because he didn’t like the optics of having an interest to declare and thought he was being clever and would get away with it. Looks like he was right.

It beggars belief, it’s like someone setting the rules for social distancing during COVID then saying they didn’t understand the rules they had set. That would never happen.
btb
UK-India trade deal: British PM Sunak faces conflict of interest over wife's shares in Infosys (msn.com) Does he really face a "conflict of interest" over his wife's shareholding? Sunak was parachuted into a safe Tory seat without having to serve his dues after his father-in-law met with then PM Cameron in 2010 he's now getting the payback in the current UK-India trade negotiations. Less a vocation for UK politics than a profitable sabbatical. Green Card to Murica coming up after GE defeat.
Billy Jean King
That statement today from Braverman is staggering. It's the sort of thing you would expect to come from a newly elected govt not one that's been in power for a dozen years. I know it's an attempt to throw red meat to the switherers but to stand there and admit 95% of crime goes unsolved and only now will police be implored to investigate every crime no matter how minor is the ultimate admission of failure by the incumbents.
