Edinburgh City vs Dumbarton/Dumbarton vs Edinburgh City

Recommended Posts

Enjoyed Alba taking their annoying habit of cutting away for a close up of a player while the ball is in play in every fucking game they show to new levels by briefly showing a close up of Frizzell while Dumbarton still had it in the Edinburgh box.

I missed the sending off. Watching the replay, its absolutely crazy for a guy on a yellow card to try something that obvious. It was disgraceful and he can have absolutely no complaints about the 2nd yellow. If he hadn't dived then the ball was still there to be won. If he'd kept chasing it and putting the defenders under pressure then he could well have been fouled or at least forced one of them to put the ball out for a corner.

Relieved to come through the play-offs and remain in League One. Duffy needs to go and that squad needs a complete rebuild. Only 3 or 4 players I'd want to keep.

Based on those two legs, promotion looks like it would be a complete waste of time for Edinburgh City anyway. If you're that far off the 9th placed side managed by Jim Duffy then you're looking at a big squad overhaul just to survive.

Think Dumbarton shaded that. Well done. The central defensive partnership saw them through. Ross Forbes also carried them at times throughout the season.

Ross Forbes carried absolutely f**k all this season. His best game by a considerable distance was live on TV on Monday night. He’s been as pish as the rest of them.

Good luck Dumbarton. The League 1 forum needs @Jan Vojáček's summer transfer and squad list threads. The amateur hour attempt at a released players thread isn't cutting it for me.

I'm back, baby.

Thank God that game, and this season, are over. Brutal stuff. The only highlight was the hilarious dive for the second booking.

Rebuild needed now. Starting with the management team.

Forbes has been terrible for most of the season. Monday was the best he's played all year. The problem for us is that Forbes doesnt turn up often enough. Usually if he isnt doing it from set pieces then he's essentially a man down because he doesnt graft and won't help you much. That first leg was not a typical Ross Forbes performance.
