craigkillie
The SPFL has something ridiculously low like 8 employees in total, which says a lot about the short-sightedness of the clubs. If they were willing to sink a bit more into employing actual marketing staff they'd save money on these consultancy fees and so on, but that would cost them a grand or two each so they just let it trundle on inefficiently instead until it comes to a head like this.

That does seem ridiculous to run 4 leagues and now bringing the women's game into the fold. No wonder our TV rights get sold for smarties and the sponsorship deals are either crap or in this case full of holes.
Kapowzer
I'd question how many times Doncaster has been "entertained" at prestige golf clubs, corporate hospitality at other sporting events and Michelin star restaurants by the marketing company employed. That's how business gets done at this level works sadly. As for the other hot topic, from the BBC: UEFA Europa Fine, Braga - "Rangers have been fined £38,900 by Uefa for two incidents in their Europa League quarter-final first leg against Sporting Braga. The Ibrox club are required to pay £30,480 after their fans lit fireworks in the 1-0 defeat in Portugal. A further penalty of £8420 was imposed for the game's late kick-off." UEFA Europa Fine, RB Leipzig - "The club will pay £6,670 for the throwing of objects and lighting of fireworks at Ibrox on 5 May. A fine of £3,228 was earlier handed to Rangers for the lighting of fireworks during the first leg in Germany." Chance they will come out against UEFA demanding an apology or claim victimhood = 0 Chance if it was the SFA or SPFL that handed down 50k's worth of fines they'd show up mob handed with lawyers to an arbitration after fighting it in the media = 100%
craigkillie
If the SPFL or SFA fined them for that they absolutely would be taking legal action given that doing so would be against their rules.

Yet they don’t have the bottle to do the same with UEFA. Obviously there's 'big fish small pond' stuff going on. Battling with UEFA for a minnow like us is far harder - though I do wish we'd do more.

The Rangers "big fish": Ironically about 10,000 of "the peepol" could use that photo in a mugshot and are probably called "Davie".

Mate, if you're going to sneer about the underclass, at least make it funny.

coprolite
I am really enjoying Rangers being anti establishment class-warriors. Fight the power brothers.

topcat(The most tip top)
It is strange that when people refer to this situation as involving a “conflict of interest” they never seem to be referring to Rangers confidential commercial arrangements with a company coincidentally owned by Rangers’ chairman
