Pogba is out for the rest of the season, Van De Beek will probably see a bit of game time

Pogba is only out until January when United will try to sell him. He will bide his time and leave on a free in the summer.

Van de Beek has been an abject failure and total waste of money. United will punt him, even on loan, asap.

Van de Beek has become one of those players who has got better by not playing (the Jack Grealish Euro 2020 phenomenon).

In the vast majority of these cases the manager (even one as hopeless as Solskjaer) is right and when they finally do get in the team you see exactly why the manager hasn't been playing him. Maybe he'll get a run and do pretty well, but it's not going to make any significant difference.

BBC gossip

"Newcastle are targeting three Manchester United players in January - Netherlands midfielder Donny van de Beek, 24, England midfielder Jesse Lingard, 28, and English goalkeeper Dean Henderson, 24"

They'll romp the Championship.

It would amuse me greatly if they went down.

West Ham weren't, and aren't, shite. I confess, I never really rated him before last season, but can't argue he did a good job there. Think he would do well under Howe. Him and Saint-Maximim would give them a good shout of staying up if they, and Wilson, stay fit.

Did pretty well at West Ham last season, tbf.

If you take the form table from Lingards time at West Ham through to now (probably longer too but for the purposes of judging the team Lingard played in) it will likely be top 4, and certainly will piss all over anything Newcastle have managed in decades
