Jambomo
I know it’s often said but that pen is given if it’s up the other end

D-Fens Foster
Just now, Mr. Brightside said: That's a penalty if it's the other way round. Stick VAR up yer arse. Don’t want it up here cause that’s exactly what I thought.

DrewDon
I don't know if they do give it up the other end, but it's definitely the correct decision not to give it - Yates shapes his foot to initiate the contact with Allison.
Cptn Hooch
Allison makes an attempt at the ball, misses and there's contact with the player, yes the Forest boy has dragged his foot but how often do players "win fouls" these days? That should have been a penalty for me

Raven
That's only a penalty if it's Harry Kane flopping over.
craigkillie
It's never a penalty, he drags his foot into the goalkeeper's glove, and even at that there's barely a touch.

That's the sort of "soft" penalty that Mane and Salah "win" all the time.
D-Fens Foster
Imagine for a second we have VAR up here. Will that stop the ridiculous decisions that the arse cheeks get on a regular basis ?? Will it f**k so let’s just not go there please

They definitely would. Soft contact pens like that are given every week to the big teams in that league. I don’t mind if they want to toughen up the rules but you still get those.

But would Liverpool have got a pen for it ? My bet would be yes. VAR doesn’t stop dodgy decisions it’s probably actually made it worse
resk
Poor effort from the Forest player IMHO. Lewis Ferguson would 100% have made that into a penalty.

DrewDon
From their three games against Premier League opposition that I have seen, Forest look like a team who would be fairly well equipped to compete if they did get promoted because of their athleticism and physicality.

My argument is though if that was a decent team against one of the arse cheeks the results would be the same. If that was for example Motherwell v Arse cheek, if it’s in our box that’s a pen and other box it’s not. VAR for me has proven to be a big failure that slows the game and makes it more like the NFL . All about opinions I suppose
Bully Wee Villa
Man United have had approximately 37 penalties that were softer than that against Villa since we got promoted.
2426255
I thought Stuart Armstrong was quite sharp in the first half for Southampton, good on the ball and made several strong driving runs with the ball. He was quiet in the second half as Manchester City took control of the game.
