Super Saints v Ross County 01/12

Recommended Posts

Bad feeling about this. County clearly improved a lot since we last played them, whereas we are struggling for form. Couple that with the injuries/suspensions to important players and I don’t think we will win tonight.
1-2

No more excuses and hard luck stories, we really must be winning this tonight with home advantage( even though our home form is poor). Can see at least 3 changes to our starting lineup, and possibly a rejig of our formation.

2-1 Saints.

Saints team: Alnwick; Tait, Dunne, Fraser; McAllister, Power, Ronan, Tanser; McGrath; Dennis, Brophy.

Assume Erhahon is still carrying a knock, but otherwise that’s about the best we can put out thanks to injuries and suspensions.

County: Maynard-Brewer, Randall-Baldwin-Iacovitti-Vokins, Cancola-Paton, Hungbo-Callachan-Spittal, D Samuel

Interesting team. Charles-Cook on the bench. Big opportunity for Dom Samuel and Vokins to impress too. Looks like a decent lineup though; very attacking as usual.

HT 0-0
Quite an open game actually. Not sure this 4-4-2 really suits us, but needs must with who we have available.
Plenty of shots and half chances at either end. We had one cleared off the line and Alnwick has made a couple of decent stops.
There’s nothing in it really, first goal vital.

Very similar to previous home games against StJ, Dundee, Livi. We are crying out for someone to get us going here. Very one paced and at times one dimensional, although I can see why they are trying the ball in behind County, takes one blip and we are in.

Bench doesn't fill me with confidence either. One positive is County haven't really put our untried backline under much pressure.
