vikingTON
We roll straight on from the Inverness manager's flailing tantrum from Tuesday evening to a league rematch. But just when we thought that conceding a goal to Robbie Muirhead was the greatest embarrassment that Inverness would suffer this week, we get this: https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/8131411/caley-thistle-boycott-morton-cappielow-facilities/?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1639071136 Time to take these utterly ludicrous posturers at their word then and just award the automatic 3-0 home win in advance. Alibi
Is there any genuine reason why away teams can't use the away dressing room under the main stand? I know they try to have a modicum of social distancing off the pitch but it's surely not beyond us to have the teams arrive at the dressing rooms a few minutes apart? The away team will be there well before most of the spectators, so no real problem there. Same at the end of the game. However, having a damp Portacabin does seem a bit inadequate. Anyway, of course Dodds is pissed off - his team got put out the cup. Had they won, we'd probably hear nothing more about it.
Stevie Aitken's Love Child
So the story is that Inverness aren't the first club to complain about the facilities which we've provided since moving the away team out of the hospitality lounges. There was talk about using the gym at Sinclair Street, but I guess as the entrance passes the home turnstiles/exit gates, that probably isn't appropriate? If the facilities are that bad, the club really needs to do something about it as that's just not good enough. Billy Dodds is still a greeting faced w**k though.

Social distancing to avoid multiple close contacts in the event of a positive case? It's unlikely a full team could fit in each changing room socially distanced therefore the home team are likely using both.

Paisley Ton
Understand checked before the match and found to be dry. Must have been all the crocodile tears post penalties. Being serious we should make an effort to improve things for Saturday, Hot towels , soap and a buckets of hot water. Would not want to be given the points by default.

Aye think there's still social distancing rules within sport which is ridiculous Are we to really believe that players keep themselves in seperate changing rooms and the manager gives 2 team talks etc. They will all congregate in one for sure. Time to get back to normal and allow away teams to use the away changing room. They don't social distance on the park, fans don't social distance off it, players still get tested regularly, time to put it in the bin.

I believe when they removed the requirement for red zones, following the protocols became at each club's discretion. Why wouldn't they continue though if it limits close contacts in the event of a positive case? Edited December 10, 2021 by Jamie_M

I'm quite interested in this interjection which would not be out of place and indeed find succour in the c thread.
ICTChris
Really pleased with Billy Dodds for this. What could be more boring than a successive game against Morton, neither set of fans have any real interest in the other so he has livened things up by injecting some beef into proceedings.

Sensible post and I for one would like to see some return to normality, we fans are almost back to normal proceedings. Billy Dodds should have addressed his changing rooms concerns quietly through the proper channel via our board to Mortons board and not to the press, to air another clubs dirty linen in public is not right, bear in mind that all Scottish clubs are having financial difficulties. da_no_1
I think Dodds is a wanksplat but anything that gets vT in this much of a mess has to be applauded. Well done Billy.
Dunning1874
We're not the only club in the division using portacabins as the away dressing room. It's unfortunate that the generator powering it failed on Tuesday and it's understandable for any team to be annoyed by those conditions and state that it can't happen again, but the histrionics are laughable. If Morton had done nothing to remedy this that would be completely unacceptable, but they offered an alternative in the hospitality lounges, which other clubs were using without complaint earlier in the season, and for some reason Inverness chose not to use it. The issue arose because of the power supply failing, the club have said it's now resolved, so they'll not be dealing with the same conditions again on Saturday. They're also getting approval from the Council for another contingency option should there be any issues. If the same issues do reoccur then that's simply not good enough and in that scenario it'd be understandable for ICT to be furious, but without that happening this just looks like Dodds having a massive tantrum about being out of the cup. On more important matters, hopefully McEntee's fit again and we can get him and Ledger back in the team. I can't see ICT being so passive again and we could do with getting our best centre back pairing on the park.

It is very far from a sensible post, in fact it is the most ridiculous one on this thread and that's saying something in a thread that has a sun reader posting. Are we really supposed to submit to a scenario that Billy Dods should willfully put his team at a heightened covid and self isolating risk that just to fit in with Greenock standard facilities with no lighting, heating and electricity? The good news is that Morton have finally acknowledged their quite disgraceful level of hospitality and moved to rectify the situation. Tinpot doesn't begin to describe them. -
AsimButtHitsASix
The worst part of this is despite not letting other teams get any heat, decent toilet facilities or dignity before the match we still can't beat them.
placidcasual
If they're not fit for vermin, you can understand why the wee Cumnock rat doesn't fancy it.
