The guy should just have steered completely clear of it but in his defence I thought he was pulling his own player out, not charging right up the Rangers player. Both keepers on top form, although McGregor continuing to stand yards off his line at free kicks gives me the fear. Aribo’s goal was sublime. His demeanor on and off the park seems to have had quite the swing since the management change?On the game, Rangers only really played for 10 minutes, scored two goals then sat in. Hearts are a decent side, but if you play that aggressively against a side that’s quicker and better than you you’re always running the risk of picking up cards. Defending like absolute fucking idiots for 10 minutes didn't help, but even then we had plenty of chances to get back into the game. The red card probably didn't affect the result but it was incredible fucking stupidity from Ginnelly. If our next game had been on Boxing Day I'd have been convinced he'd done it on purpose. 4-2-3-1 looks like it could be a decent option for us. We look more threatening with 4 attacking players and I don't think the defensive issues were a fault of the system.
