No a Derby Vs The Derby extravaganza to end all derbies

That's a fucking disaster.   Baird and McGinty proved over and over they can't play together and Muirhead in midfield again.   Brutal.    We will lose this now.  Weaker at both CB and CM

Stop teasing, you'll be giving us some hope next ...

Yup, utter pish shout from Bullen.
Hopefully we look stupid later tonight.

I’m pleased that Bullen has a formation and way of playing that we can at least identify, which is more than can be said of the last two clowns but it also seems like he’ll rigidly stick to it even if he doesn’t have the players available to him. Wee bit like McCall in that regard.

If we win great, if we draw then we need Killie to beat Dunfermline and if we lose then it’ll be a real come down after the last two games.

Yeah, this is my main concern - he appears completely unwilling to adapt to anything, as long as the previous result was good.

I’m pretty concerned that we have a huge lack of quality in the final third for a game like today, as well as all our previous issues in terms of retaining possession -  McInroy and Dempsey are going to need to have massive games. Not confident at all now.

Who was the young lad that Ayr brought on in the second half of the first game at Somerset?  Thought he made the difference for Ayr that day - can't recall his name though.

Steven Bradley. Was on loan from Hibs and was probably our most talented player but Duffy didn’t use him enough and Hibs recalled him and have sent him on loan to Dundalk where I believe he’s scored in his last two games.

Steven Bradley - currently starring for Dundalk seeing as Jim Duffy preferred Cammy Salkeld to him as he is an idiot.

O'Connor, the Irish boy?

ETA - Bradley apparently...

Would have preferred to see McKechnie starting ahead of Empty Jersey Gordon, but hopefully we're still in the game in the second half and his pace can cause Ayr some problems. If he's on the bench, haven't seen it.

Yep, that was him, cheers.  Shame for Ayr, good for Queens today.

A reminder that for all the completion for places talk there isn’t a genuine midfielder on the bench to replace any of the 3 starters if one of them isn’t available.

Something which can hopefully be addressed in the summer. We’ve done well to get Dempsey and McInroy in although it’s something that should not have taken as long as it did. Hopefully we can keep both and bring in another. Hewitt will be back for next season as well.
