Arch Stanton
58 minutes ago, invergowrie arab said: They don't have to. It's not their stadium. It will be owned by a separate company who lease it to them and then make money on other things like concerts and events to service payments on the project. This isn't a criticism I think it's a good idea if the sums work for both parties. The biggest obstacle has always been access on and off the Kingsway. Given the back has been broken of people's expectation of being allowed to drive along it unhindered with the Swallow and Myrekirk lights I thinks probably a much easier obstacle to overcome now with some sort of traffic controls other than a simple on off exit thay has been shown in the drawings. That said its huge money and the Swallow ones have taken 3 years to get spade ready and will be one year to build. Will be interesting to see what Traffic Scotland respond to the PiP as I suspect it's probably a critical part of the project. I'd have thought with a fair wind 27/28 would be the soonest you could be looking at this. Not exactly like for like but as a comparison V&A was 3 and half years from spade to open. Eden project is similar and is expected to be open 2030. Hoping did Almondvale take to build? Was that the last start from scratch stadium in Scotland? I'm not counting ICT as they still haven't finished it. SMP opened in 2009 about 8-9 years after Almondvale.

tree house tam
Like the Rangers casino, the Aberdeen Stadium and a few others that have fallen by the wayside. I'll congratulate the Dees if it ever materialises and especially in the form shown in that presentation. Wait till the climax to shoot yer bolt lads, no before you get it out yer jeans.

Not Rangers at Hampden though, they can have it as long as they want.

On what grounds does anyone reasonably believe that the Dundee board are capable of bringing in £95m in funding? And that's probably a low-ball estimate. ps - loved the bit where they were selling a part of the ground with a scenic view... over Dryburgh Don't know whether this has been addressed or not but I'm assuming you are blatantly missing out a large number of completed works on that page...?

It's fine till it's not fine. And when it's not fine, it's catastrophic. Would not want it for my club. No doubt true but what saved Dundee, in part, through our 2 admins was not owning the stadium. Basically no assets to liquidate.

They've been clear from the moment they came in this would be their end goal. We're a pessimistic nation and as a Dundee fan, with the clown shoes we've had running us over the years, we're probably more dubious than most. They've been working on winning a trophy for 50 years and certainly no sign of that happening. What happens first Stadium Trophy Admin I know what my moneys on.

Jim McLean wanted him to buy United before Eddie Thomson and at the time McLean said he didn't know or even think Bennet had a team
locheedee
He was a Director of yours for years and one of the reasons for Keyes buying Dens was because the agreement was our rent to Bennett went up every year so we bought him out before it turned into silly money

I was positive Saints played a Scottish Cup tie there with only main stand and away one behind the goal but maybe I’m misremembering this… But yes, as others have said, st mirrens is more recent. ETA: looks like 3 stands originally with the corners open. Looks very different: Edited August 26 by PauloPerth
Beardy23
The projected debt on the lease for dens was included in the admin proposal, making bennett a major creditor who voted in favour of the 6p in the £ agreement, saving the club from a rangers style death.
