Was thinking with Kyle Lafferty playing for Killie the day with 85 caps- who are other players who were getting caps in the second tier and can anyone beat him (during his time in the second tier)?

Efe Ambrose
Marvin Andrews

So far.

Frankie Musonda (Raith Rovers) was capped and scored for Zambia this season.

Fernandy Mendy (also Raith Rovers) was also called up for Guinea-Bissau last season (and this year at Alloa), although I don't think he actually played.

Neither come close to Lafferty for number of caps, right enough,

We had Vytas Gaspuitis, a Lithuanian International player, who was good enough to play against Italy but not the likes of Ayr, Queen of the South, Raith etc according to mega brains Peter Grant and John Hughes. Hughes basically ran him out of the club.

Marko Rajamaki and Jannie Lindberg were capped by Finland whilst playing for us in the First Division (95-97) and in the Second Division (94-95) and Paul Fenwick was capped by Canada whilst playing for St. Mirren (96-98) and ourselves (98-2000),  winning the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2000 whilst at Morton.

He never played for Morton again as a punishment by Hugh Scott by having the temerity to stay in the tournament long enough to win the thing.

Colin Miller was playing for us (when it was the First Division) and turning out for Canada (61 caps). Canada couldn't have been very good.

I'm pretty sure Shankland got called-up, and scored, whilst still the The Championship with Dundee United.

I’m not sure if Charlie Trafford ever got a call up when playing for us but I’m sure he did for the Canadian national team at one point. 
The cypriot guy for Dumbarton a few years back played for the national team I think? Froxylias or something was his name

Big Atli Gregersen got about 50 caps for the Faroes as well. Only played for us once, though.

Lafferty didn't actually get called up while playing for us in the Championship - it's lucky he didn't because he scored a double against Partick Thistle during the international break.

When mentioning Rajamaki etc, How could you possibly forget your legendary goalie, Andre Boe…? 62 caps for Cameroon allegedly, and of course star of a certain game at East End.  Happy memories….
