Killjoy alert.....The article doesn't actually say that he could definitely be staying with Queens as such. The fact that he has mentioned a few weeks back, that he may only be tempted away from Queens by the new Rangers/ sevco(though God knows why!)Should these scummy people come up with an offer,would/could he or Queens refuse?

When I read it I could have sworn I'd heard it before. I think it was written not long after he returned the first time. Sloppy journalism and they probably only changed the date.

Not sure if serious. There's no chance of the current Rangers looking at Dobbie, thankfully.
Salvo Montalbano
Was Dobbie late turning up today or something? I have you boys on my coupon (although I wouldn't be averse to Alloa winning so Falkirk go bottom again).

Skyline Drifter
As at 6th October 2018: 1 - Jim Patterson, 251 goals in 462 appearances, 1949 - 19632 - Stephen Dobbie, 132 goals in 185 starts (18 sub) appearances, 2007 - 2009, 2016 - Current 3 - Bobby Black, 120 goals in 346 appearances, 1952 - 1961 4 - Derek Lyle, 117 goals in 269 starts (96 sub) appearancs, 2002 - 2004, 2004 - 2006 & 2012 - 2018 5 - Andy Thomson, 114 goal in 196 starts (35 sub) appearances, 1989 - 1994 & 2006 - 2007 6 - Jocky Dempster, 98 goals in 342 starts (13 sub) appearances, 1970 - 1979 7 - Tommy Bryce, 95 goals in 283 starts (14 sub) appearances, 1985 - 1987, 1994 - 1998 & 1999 8 - Stevie Mallan, 94 goals in 233 starts (32 sub) appearances, 1993 - 2000 9 - Tommy McCall, 93 goals in 264 appearances, 1925 - 1934 10 - Ian Reid, 89 goals in 192 starts (5 sub) appearances, 1973 - 1978 11 - Jimmy Robertson, 89 goals in 378 starts (22 sub) appearances, 1979 - 1987 & 1989 - 1993 12 - Jackie Oakes, 81 goals in 457 appearances, 1936 - 1947 & 1951 - 1960 13 - Iain McChesney, 79 goals in 587 starts (28 sub) appearances, 1961 - 1982 14 - Rowan Alexander, 78 goals in 165 starts (18 sub) appearances, 1978 - 1983 & 1995 - 1998 15 - Billy Houliston, 74 goals in 155 apearances, 1945 - 1952 16 - Jackie Law, 71 goals in 226 appearances, 1936 - 1948 17 - John O'Neill, 70 goals in 143 starts (52 sub) appearances, 2001 - 2003 & 2005 - 2008 18 - Lex Law, 68 goals in 316 starts (18 sub) appearances, 1964 - 1975 19 - Jimmy Rutherford, 66 goals in 65 appearances, 1930 - 1934 20 - Willie Dougan, 65 goals in 88 appearances, 1922 - 1925 Not a great day for us as a club but another magnificent day for Mr Dobbie. Worth updating a few stats tonight: He now has 24 goals in 15 games this season (14 starts). He has 12 goals already in the League. Bearing in mind that in the previous two seasons only himself (twice), Jason Cummings and Nicky Clark have made it to 15 League goals in a season. Today was his 4th hat trick of the season already, and the 10th of his Queens career. He had 55 goals from his first spell of two and half years. In the two years and two months since he returned he has added another 77 goals! His three seasons back have yielded 26, 27 and so far 24 in three months! At present rate, the record jointly held by Jimmy Rutherford and Nicky Clark of 41 goals in a single season must be under threat. I had a look at his career record in Scottish football to see how near he is to having scored against everybody. He has scored against 32 different teams with us, though one was Gretna who are no longer members of "the 42", one was Linlithgow Rose and two were Linfield and Crusaders of Northern Ireland. Whilst with Queens he's only not scored against: Aberdeen, Annan Athletic, Arbroath, Celtic, East Fife, Elgin City, Forfar Ath, Hearts, Inverness CT, Kilmarnock, Motherwell, Queens Park and Rangers (and ourselves of course). However, he scored against Aberdeen and Rangers whilst with Hibs, and against East Fife, Elgin and Inverness whilst with Dumbarton. Which means that (officially) in Scottish football he's only not scored against: Annan Athletic, Arbroath, Celtic, Forfar Athletic, Hearts, Kilmarnock, Motherwell and Queen of the South! (He has scored against Annan in friendlies for us) I'm not claiming to be 100% ceertain but I don't think he's actually ever played a competitive game against either Annan or Forfar. I was looking back at the posts when he first returned at one point this week. A few people were (not unreasonably) questioning whether he could be as good second time around and if he might not damage his reputation with us. I don't think anyone could have seen him being as good as he has been. It's been quite amazing!
